Very unreliable, keeps crashing and extremely POOR customer support I have tried to use Shift on 3 different devices (1 PC and 2 Mac) and its been terrible experience. Every time I am in the middle of something or try to open a new tab the entire app would crash randomly. Specifically if I search for a document on Google Drive and open in a new tab the app would crash. It also lacks some basic features like reopening a closed tab. Their customer service would always ask you to clear all the data, restart or try a fresh install instead of actually analyzing the logs to identify what went wrong and how to fix it. I also provided specific steps for them to reproduce the issue 100% of the times but their only solution is to reset when in doubt. If you are a light user it may work for you, but the main use of Shift is for power user which defeats the purpose. Back to using Chrome as my main browser.

Can't split apps, doesn't work with slack huddles I was advertised this product quite a bit and thought it'd be a good way to consolidate all of my applications and be able to manage my workflow's much better. Little did I know that you can't even split tabs (i.e. two tabs in a workspace vertically or horizontally), nor can you use screen sharing on Slack due to not being able to have pop out windows. I've purchased Rambox instead, which has all of those features and seems like a much better product.

Great product. Great product that has eliminated many extra open programs on my desktop. Regular updates let you know the team is active and constantly improving the platform. I'm a contractor so I need to be checking multiple email inboxes constantly. I can just leave Shift open on one of my monitors and know that I will get notified any time I need to act on something without having to switch email logins every few minutes.

Great customer service If you've ever had an issue with an app that was crashing, etc. and reported it, you usually get no response. With Shift, that experience was totally different. They helped me revert back to a previous version, let me know that a beta version was ready to test (if I wanted to use that) and then let me know the program was updated and functioning properly. All of this within about a month or two. I truly appreciate the follow up and follow through on getting things working and communicating with me.

The most important product change you… The most important product change you can make is figuring out a way to break out a new shift window. I know it seems counterintuitive but when I have a client who uses goog meet/hangouts, I can't share the tab and view them like I would in zoom. It's a real headache. I have to open up chrome, log into the right gmail account and then share my deck on that window in chrome because I can't easily do it in Shift.
