About Skylight Broadband

We are a local Wireless internet service provider (WISP) based in Devon reaching out to rural communities who currently struggle with poor internet speeds. Our Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) network is completely independent from the traditional copper lines and instead use the latest radio technology to supply our customers with a Superfast Broadband connection. We also provide an option for customers who wish to keep their existing phone number by transferring the standard phone line over to Voip Phone.

We live in a small communal farmstead… We live in a small communal farmstead consisting of 6 dwellings, all suffering the same unacceptably slow broadband via copper landlines with no solution to our problem. After years of complaints and callouts to BT I heard of Skylight through a neighbour in the next valley. Inital contact was to set up a meeting to discuss solution as we live in a blind valley. Their attending engineer was positive, with a can-do attitude. As soon as my obligation was completed (pole erection, power etc) They installed their equipment in one day and hooray, in one fell swoop the end of all 6 dwellings suffering of slow and non existant broadband, and at a competetive price. Never looked back since.

Back to the Future Having lived in a rural area for the last 18 months my Internet service had been dreadful with downloads speeds of between 2-3 mbps, quite frankly I was losing the will to live. Buffering and freezing would mean a 30 min programme would take 2 hours to watch. From a chance meeting at a petrol station I discovered Skylight Broadband, and within two days they had been round, surveyed and installed my new service. No long calls to several people in Mumbai, just quick, efficient local service. Immediately I was getting 50mbps+ and I almost can't believe it. I'm convinced their vehicle was a Dolorean disguised as a van as I feel I have been bumped back to the future and I'm now back in century 21. Thankyou Steve, Andrew and everybody else at Skylight Broadband you have saved my sanity. I would recommend this company wholeheartedly. Chris (Highweek, Newton Abbot)
