Carbs are GOOD Once I went back to carbs (based on the Okinawa diet) and quit the whole 30/paleo diet as well as any attempts at Keto or low-carb, my weight stopped rising, and actually started to go down (and I didn't even follow the Okinawa diet very strictly, and did no caloric restriction)! This is with a metabolic resistant condition that makes any kind of weight loss or sustainability nearly impossible; per my doctor. I also love the foods listed in Okinawa diet. So it's not a restrictive diet in any sense for me. I feel like I'm eating what I've always wanted to eat anyway. Plus, I do add in whatever else I might want, while still seeing benefits of eating this way.

Interesting report taking into account individual genetic data. One thing I was surprised to see missing was a reference to high Homo-cysteine levels due to MTHFR and B12 methylation issues . . . I will send a note as soon as I figure out how . . .
