Look elsewhere cometchat is terrible. We installed the comet chat service, and had it for the past year. We have not been able to roll it out and have our client use the system because of the many bugs and the poor response from the support. The site gives the impression that the software is a one time fee.... which is true but what is not said is that the software is updated at least once a month, and within he first 30 days of the use of the service it was not working. Cometchat told us that it needed to be updated, oh and by the way we don't do that unless you have our support package at an extra high cost. What else is that the software has not worked smoothly at all, it works fine for a day or two then it has problems again. Crosstalk and looping messages and crashing apps. There is not a month of trouble free use, it is constantly broken and when updated the android and apple apps must be recompiled as well adding further down time. ... In conclusion I do not recommend this product and if I could get a refund if I would. Oh but wait they don't refund you for software that doesn't work.

Is cometchat going out of business??? This company is now unresponsive except when they want your money. I recently purchased the Platinum self hosted edition for close to $500 as well as the mobile edition for another $500. I asked their team to install it and before I could even launch, there were bugs. I'm supposed to have premium phone support and priority email/chat support with my package but can't reach anybody. It's a never ending revolving door. The phone number is US only (I'm in Canada) and I haven't received a response to multiple support requests for days so I can launch my site. They had no problem taking my thousand bucks and nobody told me they would be changing their platform and that mine would be obsolete before I could even use it. Cometchat...what is going on? Or are you going out of business?

Incompetent support and bad plugin code Their support have after two months not been able to help me install a very simple integration on my website. It has been filled with bugs, such as the chat not showing on some browsers and the chat telling logged in users to log. They were also not able to get two chat windows to be active at the same time, even though they keep on insisting it is possible. During our live sessions it is like they try out their code for the first time, when trying to integrate it on my page. They also lack common programming skills, such as blaming their failing javascript code (js run time errors) on the css width of the chat window... Still awaiting my refund...

Comet chat is great Comet chat is great. The team is very responsive when you need any customisation done for your website. It is probably the most user-friendly chat out there. Further, the admin panel is also very clear and easy to use. I recommend anyone to use comet chat when they need a third party chat client to connect people or customers in general with a service representative.

Stop Asking Me to Delete My Review / Decent Product, Horrific Customer Service I'm happy with the product itself, but their customer service sucks. Bought their basic edition for $49, file wouldn't upload to our Wordpress website. Contacted support, they wanted access to my FTP and admin access to our website. I said no, and to send me a file that works. Went back and forth for days. I made a PayPal claim, which they told me to remove. I told them to send me a working Cometchat file, and I'll happily do so. They finally relented. I was rather upset that after all that, they proudly put their logo on the bottom of our chat windows. Luckily, this was easily removed with some slight CSS. Editing my previous review, almost four years later Cometchat is telling TrustPilot that I am writing a false review or for it being for a different company. It isn’t. Granted, a lot can change after four years, but CometChat did nothing to rectify the issues I reported and did nothing to make things about this right, and rather than try and make amends they try to pretend what happened in the past didn’t. Look for another chat plugin in my humble opinion. Edit 2, in response to your reply: regardless of how much you claim your company has chance, my review is honest and indicative of my experience. Anybody considering spending money on your products or services are entitled to see honest reviews of your company over time. If you have truly changed as a company your reviews will reflect that. Regardless, I am not changing or deleting my review.
