GBCometChat Go User Having "demo'd" several different chat functions, I chose CometChat based on both the easy of use, simple API and top service. CometChat we're able to get the function up and running quickly and have patiently integrated the service to meet my exact needs. This integration service along with the customer service and care has been exceptional. CometChat has also been extremely well received by our user base, with a string of positive feedback, from appearance, easy of use, mobile capabilities etc All in all really really pleased with CometChat. Thanks Guys.

INOne Stop Solution We have been using CometChat for almost a year, there were many bugs but they have worked on removing them over the period of time. The support has improved over the period of time. The documentation is easy to understand, their API is easy to integrate. The only change I would like to see is it should have in-built recording option.

GBStop Asking Me to Delete My Review / Decent Product, Horrific Customer Service I'm happy with the product itself, but their customer service sucks. Bought their basic edition for $49, file wouldn't upload to our Wordpress website. Contacted support, they wanted access to my FTP and admin access to our website. I said no, and to send me a file that works. Went back and forth for days. I made a PayPal claim, which they told me to remove. I told them to send me a working Cometchat file, and I'll happily do so. They finally relented. I was rather upset that after all that, they proudly put their logo on the bottom of our chat windows. Luckily, this was easily removed with some slight CSS. Editing my previous review, almost four years later Cometchat is telling TrustPilot that I am writing a false review or for it being for a different company. It isn’t. Granted, a lot can change after four years, but CometChat did nothing to rectify the issues I reported and did nothing to make things about this right, and rather than try and make amends they try to pretend what happened in the past didn’t. Look for another chat plugin in my humble opinion. Edit 2, in response to your reply: regardless of how much you claim your company has chance, my review is honest and indicative of my experience. Anybody considering spending money on your products or services are entitled to see honest reviews of your company over time. If you have truly changed as a company your reviews will reflect that. Regardless, I am not changing or deleting my review.

TWIncompetent support and bad plugin code Their support have after two months not been able to help me install a very simple integration on my website. It has been filled with bugs, such as the chat not showing on some browsers and the chat telling logged in users to log. They were also not able to get two chat windows to be active at the same time, even though they keep on insisting it is possible. During our live sessions it is like they try out their code for the first time, when trying to integrate it on my page. They also lack common programming skills, such as blaming their failing javascript code (js run time errors) on the css width of the chat window... Still awaiting my refund...

GBI do not recommend Cometchat at all. I do not recommend Cometchat at all. Cometchat has just recently screwed its customers over who paid for updates and such recently too. We paid $129 for the professional edition which meant that were paying $64 a year and to get the same features that they're now charging $229 (or more) a month for. They will no longer allow self-hosting and it will cost $229 a month ($3,588 a year). They're not refunding anyone who still have a licence to receive the updates and their software is more buggy than a low end apartment. They changed with with no notice what-so-ever. I also suspect that some of the recent 5 star reviews are fake. They're all from India (Where Cometchat is based) and all have 1 review. I wouldn't be surprised if the accounts were created recently too. (Update: Trustpilot removed some of these, thus validating this point) Update: They recently told TrustPilot that I had reviewed the wrong domain in an attempt to censor this review. I have not reviewed the wrong domain or the wrong company at all. As Trust Pilot only gave me three days to comply, I wouldn't be surprised if other negative reviews disappear because of this deceptive tactic. Trust Pilot doesn't allow weblinks in this but you only need to have a look at cometchat's URL on the wayback machine (Internet Archive) to substantiate what I have said in this review. See for yourselves. This company lies and should not be trusted. Update #2: CometChat has replied to the review, however this is pretty much senseless backside covering and damage control. To address points: "During the time of your initial review, you were likely using CometChat Go. Although the review you provided may have been accurate at the time, this no longer reflects our current business." No, it wasn't. It was "CometChat" there was no "Go" there was nothing else. It was just "CometChat" all anyone needs to do is see the Way Back Machine (Internet Archive) to see this for themselves. When you sprung the changes from yearly renewals (Self hosted) to monthly extortion (No self hosted) there was no such thing as Go. This was your company at the time, and my review said originally that it was from 2018. I don't appreciate the gaslighting and nor do I care if this reflects or doesn't reflect your company today or not. The fact is; it was an accurate representation of facts at the time. "CometChat Go has been segmented out and rebranded as AtomChat. There was deep confusion with our customers as well as across public review boards differentiating between CometChat Go and CometChat Pro (which is our current brand and business today)." I am not confused. I am absolutely sure that "CometChat Go", "AtomChat" or anything like that didn't exist at the time. It was just "CometChat" and you changed from a pay once for the licence and pay half that licence yearly (For updates) to paying an obscene amount monthly with no warning, shortly after I renewed my licence. Your company told me that not only was I not getting a refund for the renewal, but that if I didn't want to move over to the new model, then I can keep using the version I had with no further updates, fixes or support. "Your feedback was sent to review as it is not an accurate portrayal of our business today." So? You're lying to Trust Pilot to censor a review you don't like. You want to pretend you never did any of what I described. Still sounds like business per usual to me. You haven't changed, although you have just now admitted to using this feature fraudulently. "We're wholeheartedly sorry about your experience and would love the chance to earn back your trust for the unfortunate oversight you experienced during your time with Go." This is a joke, right? I never used "Go", I used CometChat from your website. As seen in the Way Back Machine (Say around Feb 2018). You can't even be genuine or authentic about your apology. Why should I accept it, and should I trust you? Get real.
