Checkr is a Scam company They are supposed to be an employment background researcher/checker. They provide only partial information that is relevant to the potential employee. That is the same as LYING about the applicant. They reported that I had three accidents, which is true. But they didn’t provide the rest of the evidence that the last two accidents were NOT MY FAULT and the oldest one was over two years old. But they don’t do the right thing and research the background checks before they send them to the employer. I tried to present them with the evidence along with police reports. But they didn’t have the decency to even consider it. If they would have looked further back on my DMV report, they would have seen that I had not had an accident in over 15 years prior. All that while driving a company service vehicle for an average of 150 miles a day/6 days a week). They interfered with an employment opportunity for me just because they can’t even do what their company name says they do. PATHETIC!! Yeah, don’t expect a good review from me. Checkr is nothing but a scam. Added 4/6/24: after being denied employment due to Checkr’s insufficient background checks, I have had free time to waste when not on my regular job. So I have hung out with friends who drive for Spark (the company I was trying to get on with). While observing their practices, they explained to me how the illegal aliens are supported by Spark. They even showed me proof. Three different vehicles that were parked in spots in the designated curbside parking area. They have no tags and speak zero English. I have observed them parking in places they are not supposed to and going in to shop the orders. All while blocking front parking (spaces from legitimate drivers against Spark policy). They run multiple phones and shop multiple orders (against Spark policy). They sometimes shop two orders and pick up a curbside delivery at same time. They prefer to employ and support llegal aliens to break the law than do what is legal. THIS IS WHAT CHECKR AND SPARK PREFERS OVER LEGITIMATE US LAW-ABIDING CITIZENS!! (YES, I have photo and video evidence spanning from January 2024 thru yesterday 4/5/24, to support this).

Poor product descriptions The product descriptions say that the background checks are sufficient for school district employees and teachers. However they do not provide the required fingerprinting level check for these position. So I wasted money that they will not refund on BG checks that don't actually meet the minimum standard for the industry. The customer service was no help and displayed no interest in resolving my issues.

Not secure data policies Was planning on switching my company to Checkr. We only do about one check per month so not high volume. Put the first potential employee in and got no confirmation and it doesn’t show them in the database for status (which I would expect to be pending). I contacted Checkr, and they emailed me and asked for MY name, birthdate, MONTH the request was made and MY DL number. Two major issues here. 1, the month? You have checks you haven’t completed in a month? 2, you are a firm responsible for logging personal identity information and you are asking me to provide those details to you in an insecure fashion such as email? Really. Not to mention you don’t have MY birthdate nor MY DL number on the account because I’m not running the check on myself.
