Horrible Company serves fake docile people I am very unhappy with checkr and their background check service. They claim to be fair and accurate, but they are not. They have a data point on my report that disqualifies me from all the jobs I apply for, even though it is irrelevant and outdated. This is a violation of my fourth amendment right to be secure in my person, as I do not consent to sharing my past with anyone. I only want to be recognized for my skills and qualifications, not for something that happened years ago and has nothing to do with my current abilities. Checkr is ruining my chances of finding a decent job and I urge everyone to avoid them at all costs. They are a scam and a disgrace to the industry.

Terrible onboarding experience Regular requests for information without explaining what is needed. Every email is an autoreply that doesn't answer your question. In one case I emailed them to talk about one thing and they ignored the question and told me they were waiting for something that they hadn't even explained they needed. Had I not got in touch I would have missed my start date and lost my home. Do not use this company if you rely on employees starting on time.

Employers: Do not use this service I am not sure why companies use Checkr for their background check process. I am getting daily requests for me to upload documentation that Checkr should be tracking down. The amount of time I spend doing their work is insane. What makes things worse is that you cannot get a live person on the phone when the documents will not upload. If you are an employer, especially one that cares about the candidate's experience, do not use Checkr for your background checks.

Poor product descriptions The product descriptions say that the background checks are sufficient for school district employees and teachers. However they do not provide the required fingerprinting level check for these position. So I wasted money that they will not refund on BG checks that don't actually meet the minimum standard for the industry. The customer service was no help and displayed no interest in resolving my issues.

Commercial driver disqualified from rideshare because of this dumb company I work as a commercial truck driver with all endorsements; I have no problem with actual agencies and HR finding everything I need; and I have never been declined a position for commercial and passenger operations. But because rideshare companies use this stupid company for background checks, I can't work for any of them, as I was disqualified without explanation. And it hasn't changed status in two years. This happened 12/13/21.
