GBI was a 25 year Earthlink customer I am a 25 year Earthlink customer. Recent password reset which they said "you might have been hacked". Vague, inconsistent advice and failure to fulfill my repeated requests to have Earthlink Security contact me. When I told the help that I would have to terminate my service after 25 years they said "sorry for your inconvenience. Addt'ly, download speeds uniformly much slower than I was paying for. Overall very shabby service for the high monthly rates paid.

GBAbsolutely horrible Absolutely horrible, do not use this internet service. I canceled my account and while on the phone with the rep Alexa they took my money out anyway and she stated they will put it back after receiving equipment, when I asked why, she wouldn't give a valid reason. The internet service is overprice and not at all worth it. I was on the phone with her while I noticed right after she canceled my service she charged my account which is totally ridiculous. I filled out the form and I’m returning the modem today. I’ve only had it for a month and wasn’t under contract. If I could give you all a -15 I would.

GBEarthlink DOES NOT HAVE PARENTAL CONTROLS Earthlink is stuck in the dark ages. They do not have any modern features we take for granted in 2024. I signed up for their home internet (in Sparks, NV) because I was trying to avoid Spectrum and AT&T who I am not a fan of. They told me I was getting fiber internet. THEY DO NOT HAVE A MODERN APP. THEY DO NOT HAVE PARENTAL CONTROLS. YOU CANNOT RESET YOUR NETWORK PASSWORD WITHOUT CONTACTING THEM. Their account portal looks like it was built in 2000, and it hasn't been updated since. Not much you can do there. THERE ISN'T MUCH YOU CAN DO ON THEIR WEBSITE OR THEIR APP EXCEPT PAY YOUR BILL OR LOOK AT AN OLD AOL LOOKING HOMEPAGE TO ACCESS INTERNET/ WHAT?! It's 2024 ya'll! THEY DONT TELL YOU THEY ARE ARE SALE PARTNER OF AT&T. The AT&T van pulled up. A technician wearing AT&T shirt installed AT&T branded equipment. They tell you you are buying Fiber internet, but that's not what the technician said! The internet service is good (It's AT&T). BUT I'm paying $24/month more for the exact same internet service I could get from AT&T directly... NO WAIT THAT IS WRONG, because with AT&T I'd have modern account features that I took for granted with Xfinity (which isn't available here). AT&T has a modern app and offers parental controls, home modem management (reset/troubleshoot/ password reset) NOT EARTHLINK though... And the real kicker! They are shisty about their contracts. They don't tell you anything in writing. They bury fine print so deep you don't know and their reps misrepresent the terms. There is an archaic $200 early termination fee from the year contract they lock you into. It's not prorated folks! So you pay $24/mo more for the same internet service with less account and network features, and if you need parental controls...guess what it will cost you $200 to cancel and go to AT&T directly. BUT WAIT it get better. You can't take advantage of any of AT&T switch and save promotions because you have AT&T service at your address through one of their partners. Totally shisted! Buyer Beware. Earthlink is a dumpster fire.

GBHorrible! 5 days of service is ALL we got before running out of data! I paid for a month's service!!!! I specifically told the first moron (when I signed up) what exactly we use internet for (school, streaming tv & music)!!! What on God's green earth made the idiot think 5 days worth of data was enough, is beyond me!!! THEEEEN when I called to ask about it, they wanted me to either upgrade or add data!!! $130 later, here I am on the phone AGAIN trying to rectify the issue! I was refused even a partial refund, because "I've received the router & the internet did work" (for 5 whole days)! Their customer service (or lack thereof) is HORRIBLE & so is their internet service! It's one BIG SCAM! Do yourself a favor & run! Run away, as fast as you can!!!!

GBIf I could give this company zero stars… If I could give this company zero stars I would. I recently moved to a new city and decided to give Earthlink a try. I immediately regretted by decision. I work from home and rely on the internet. On average, I get under 1 download speed and less than 1 upload speed. I have called their support team 3 times this week and spent hours on the phone with no solution. They nickel and dime you, support is horrible - they promise to escalate and nothing happens - they promise to call you back and nothing happens. I have to rely on the hotspot on my phone to do what I pay this service to do. And when I asked for a credit or refund because I can't use this service - they offered me $15... come on what a joke.
