Superior Customer Service and Product Support! I originally bought my portable sauna in 2022. Everything worked great and I was so pleased with having my own at-home sauna. Well I did something to damage the steam pot. I wont say what I did because when I reached out to the seller to inquire about warranty repair or replacement, they didn't ask what caused the damage. James Mak answered my inquiry with a few questions. He asked, When did I order, What was the order number, what was my shipping address? With these questions, Mr. Mack informed me that my replacement was in the mail and would arrive shortly. The replacement steam pot arrived very soon just as stated by the vendor. Smartmakshop.com exceeded my expectations with product support and customer service. The sauna has tremendously improved my quality of life and I recommend this company for its superior products but also for their customer service and product support. I am a highly satisfied customer and would choose this company first over other companies offering similar products. Thanks again SmartMakShop!

Good not great Overall I had a pretty good experience with Smartmak. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because there was mistake with my order. I ordered a porch and my sauna didn’t come with one. I emailed James and he responded right away and refunded me no questions asked. I read all the previous reviews for the first time about two months into waiting for my sauna and freaked out a bit, but I was quickly reassured by James via email. He provided an accurate estimate of the arrival to the port and a tracking number when I asked. I am happy with the quality of the sauna and luckily I didn’t have any damage with delivery. I also can’t speak to the electric stove but my wood burning stove works great and installed pretty easily. Though I can’t compare them to other manufacturers out there, for the price and responsive customer service, I would personally recommend Smartmak. I will add however that there does seem to be a real issue with possible delays given that it’s shipping from china. And also the directions aren’t great but I was able to figure out with YouTube vids and extra directions from James mak.

Company lies and falsely advertises… Company lies and falsely advertises Electrical certifications on Saunas. BEFORE buying, notice their Saunas don't have model numbers (this is important) but under details will FALSELY list all their products are certified example: (CE/ISO9001/SASO/ROHS/ETL etc) . The company appears to operate under multiple online storefronts (examples saunasnet.com & smartmakshop.com etc) however one name shows up in all online reviews, "James Mak" which appears to be fake). I requested via e-mail for ETL certification of the sauna I bought (which stated it was ETL certified). James Mak responded, said my sauna doesn't come with ETL certification, I need to pay $500 more. After days or back and forth emails, they eventually provided an ETL certification from SmartMak -*** BUT the certificate references specific SmartMak Model numbers***. I then asked the important question, what is the Model Number of sauna that I bought, they literally provided a Model number from a portal $100+ sauna (the one buy on amazon that folds up), not the $5,000 red cedar wet sauna. I asked them if that was a mistake, they ignored the question. I spent weeks trying to get resolution, I couldn't tell they were acting in good faith. I reported them to my credit card company and they offered a full refund saying they have other customers that want this sauna (even though it was still in China (4 weeks after I bought it)). It appears smartmakshop.com / saunasnet.com are not SmartMak (the real company), they are resellers who take multiple orders hold money for 2-4 months, then order from SmartMak, and then maybe deliver it to you if you wait long enough. I suggest to hold them accountable and prevent this business practice is to sue and file complaints. They wasted over a month of my time, had almost $5,000 of my money and performed no service. I am buying a like and kind sauna and suing them for the difference, I bought during Black Friday, could have bought similar saunas for the same price, now all the prices are higher. In addition, I am filing complaints with my home state, state of California and with federal agencies. Companies should not be falsely providing uncertified products in the US, this company should not be operating in the United States falsely selling ETL certified saunas across state lines.

Had some hiccups, but in the end it was worth it We had ordered a sauna in April 2023. They did quote us 60 to 70 days for delivery however, it was a lot longer than that. We had a couple issues with shipment and delivery. However, they were very responsive on the email and apologetic. They sent us the missing parts quickly and we were able to assemble it by mid October. The sauna itself is really great! It is made out of high-quality materials and was fairly easy to put together ourselves. It is very visually pleasing and looks great in my backyard. I can’t wait to use it every day !
