GBTerrible Customer Services Over the years I have ordered a number of times from M & S, but had never dealt with their Customer Services dept before. I had delivered a dining room table, chairs and sideboard all from the same collection to "match". Well the table and chairs arrived, with damage to 2 of the chairs (legs dented in 3 seperate places). The sideboard at best, had the same pattern, but differed in colour significantly. After weeks of dealing with them, they finally offered a discount on the chairs. However, as I had signed for the unit they were not prepared to do anything more. They will loose a lot of business from me over the coming years, thats for sure.

GBwhat in the world has happened to this company??? In the past M&S used to be a safe, ever so slightly dull, seller of quality garments, and goods, which were still going strong even when you'd become tired of them. Now..... When they're good they're still excellent, but when they're bad.... Their quality control is all over the place, the sizing of garments erratic - sometimes they fit, sometimes they don't, one size 12 is completely different to another size 12, one long pair of trousers will be just that - long - and another - in a different style - will be nowhere near as long and flap above your husband's ankles. Will the quality be good as all M&S clothes used to be in the past, or will the material be ridiculously thin? Will the garments actually be in stock as it says on the web site, or will you receive an email the next day to say it isn't. Buying clothes online should never be a hit-or-miss affair but it has become so with M&S, so come on, M&S, get your act together!

GBGood value items I feel M&S is a trustworthy store who do care about customer service. They offer good value, well designed products but sometimes their buyers lose the way with their choices!

GBClothing I have bought both online and in store some amazing clothing at very competitive prices and they always have suitable clothing for the older woman. Their sizes are the biggest range there are compared with other department stores.

GBDisappointing I had £35 in vouchers for years, and couldn't find anything to buy. Finally bought trousers but your lengths are different to everyone else ?????? -- 29in, 31 in and Normal, why are yours 28, 30, 32. I chucked them out in the end. Don't know what people see in their produce. Sainsbury's clothing is better and all the supermarkets have better food - is it just a snob thing? Also cafes (I've tried two) are pretty dire. Coffee is tasteless and couldn't find anything worth eating - ok I'm vegetarian, but even the snacks and cookies were unappealing. Tesco, Asda and Morrisons all do cafes better.
