GBI have now dealt with Asurion twice, with good results! I have now dealt with Asurion twice. Once for a cell phone repair and once for the repair of a Meta Quest 2 controller. The phone repair was easy (it was actually did a replacement) and they came to our house to do it. Both service reps who came were very friendly and professional. The Quest controller repair is in progress (I have to send it in), but the customer support has been great so far. I had to contact them because the directions weren't clear on if the entire unit or just the controller needed to be sent in (it's the entire unit), so I used the online chat service. Abigail helped me and was GREAT! Answered my questions and even gave me a different link to the service agreement form that I had trouble downloading.

GBSuccessful claim Fitbit 4 dead battery My Fitbit 4 that I bought on Amazon had battery charging problem. Asurion chat agent asked a few simple questions to make sure that I was legit and within a few minutes I received confirmation for the claim.

GBGood transparency I really enjoy for one the quick response time that is something across the board that I think is done really well here. In general I would have liked to know more about what was happening with my product in depth upfront first however I think some of that could also be mitigated by the correct line of questioning. I just on a personal note would have enjoyed having the same access to the same level of information without maybe being as inquisitive. Other than that I had a really outstanding customer service experience with Ricky today.

GBWill lie to you to get you to do a repair. This is specifically about the San Marcos, CA location. I can't say anything positive or negative about other locations. Stay as far away from these guys as you can!!! They will lie to you about how severe an issue is to con you into a repair that isn't all that necessary. Part of the "sales pitch" for replacing a screen with a crack so small it is of no danger to the phone, is to tell you that since it's the item being repaired, the 1 year warranty will cover any screen repairs. Then if it's time to actually follow through on this promise, they claim it's not covered under warranty as listed in the fine print. If you call the corporate office to complain, they will happily admit over the phone that they know no one reads all of the fine print, but it's binding anyway! As "consideration" the corporate office will offer a $50 coupon if you do *another* $300 repair with them. I understand they have a policy of no repair of damage, which makes sense, but they will stand and lie to your face and tell you damage will be covered just to get the repair. Complete charlaitains. If you need a repair, go somewhere else - don't walk away, run!
