It's beautifully painted and arrived well before Christmas. I did have a perplexing experience, however. At least a week before I received the stool, I kept getting survey requests asking how I liked the product. Thinking it may have been lost, I called the company. The woman who answered took my order number, I was put on hold. She returned and said the stool would not be delivered for two weeks, until after Christmas. I was very disappointed... until two hours later when the stool arrived on my porch. Merry Christmas!
