GBNo other retailer insults customers like Costco Recent shopping at Costco; a new high for groceries for us: $700. PROS Attractive, large, well-lit stores; wide aisles; good, deep inventory; large, wide, organic food selections -- even organic dog treats! Descriptions and prices of items are clear and easy to locate. Of course, excellent prices are the main reason for Costco's success. CONS Manipulation and insults to shoppers: No descriptive signs anywhere in the store, as to where items, or categories of goods, are located. Worse, no signs on any aisles, so one of forced to go up-and-down each aisle, or risk missing an item on one's shopping list. I don't know of any other retailer that treats their customers like that. I constantly see parents with children forced to go through rows of cookies, ice creams, pizzas, etc., etc. That makes it very difficult for children not to see / ask for generally unhealthy items.

GBStroke Survivor rebuffed Long-time customer at same location. I know, and call, many employees by their first name. I use the "express/self serve" registers, because I cannot use my left hand for lifting even 5# items, and I have balance issues. Last month, Lori, refused to scan my items, and said, "God does not make mistakes," when I explained I was a stroke survivor. Two days ago, Brad, told me that I had to scan my own 6 items, and I had three options: go to a regular register, wait up to 10 minutes for someone to help me, or talk to a manager.

GBCostco no longer exceptional I've shopped at Costcofor years because of their prices, selection & service. Well the prices have increased MASSIVELY and their service is now marginal. The people there work their butts off but management still wants more! Last week there were NO BAGGERS and you could tell the Cashiers were feeling the stress More work for no more pay. Costco has now joined every other corporation with profits at the top and the worker bees suffering. When will this stop!

GBThoughtless packaging We ordered some patio furniture - a couple chairs, a couch - and the delivery truck came today. When they opened the back and looked at our condo, they said they couldn’t bring it in. Everything was in one box, about the size of a Mini Cooper, and couldn’t fit through any gate much less our front door. They somehow got it into our one car garage where it will stay until two old people figure out what to do.
