Great experience with Kith & Kin The website was easy to use and the book was customizable. The finished product was really nice. I would definitely use this company again.

Great product in the end but website is problematic. I have yet to see the book in person but my dad said he absolutely loved it! Such a beautiful and meaningful concept! The reason I cannot give 5 stars is because I had such a difficult time with the mechanics of the website. Every step I took, I ran into a technical problem, as did many of my family members trying to submit their responses. Nothing was easy about it which was very frustrating. On the flip side, they provide prompt technical assistance! Brittney was responsive and very empathetic which I greatly appreciated! Honestly, Kithandkin is ultimately a great idea and great product. They just need to get rid of all the kinks.

I used Kith and Kin to create a book…for my mother I used Kith and Kin to create a book for my mother's birthday. I asked my own family, all my siblings, their spouses and children to contribute their thoughts and photographs to the project. Kith and Kin made what should have been a time-consuming and logistically challenging project a very easy and stream-lined effort. They provide a template of questions that are delivered by email or text to each person you have requested contribute to the project. The contributors are given the option to respond to all of the questions or simply as many as they feel moved to answer. They are also given the option to upload photos from their electronic devices. The website allows you to send timely reminders to your group to prompt them to complete their submissions. Once someone submits a completed response, Kith and Kin alerts you and enables you to proof the submission before final inclusion in the hardcover book. The book arrived 8-10 days after the final submission. It was well-presented on good paper and beautifully bound. My mother was so happy. I was too.

I was impressed by the easy and… I was impressed by the easy and professionalism of it all. The website and template were easy to use and easy to communicate with my co-contributors. The formatting was easy, although I do wish there was a way to place extra pages into the book to help with spacing. I had to be creative in how I arranged the book. What really impressed me was the customer service. Twice I reached out with questions outside of business hours (once early on a Sunday morning) and received a helpful response within an hour. Very impressive! I would highly recommend.

Very cool concept, but room for improvement The recipient was very happy with her book and overall I would recommend it. I found the overall process a little confusing so it would be helpful if all of the steps were a little more clear up front. Also, the answers ended up being broken into multiple pages per respondent. This not only made the book a lot more pages (more $) than it needed to be, but the flow of the book was a little strange because of it.
