The Knot plays a dirty game Speaking as a vendor, this business is absolutely rotten to the core. They pull a bait and switch; they are fervent in their pursuit of locking you down into a subscription, but as soon as they have your payment secured they vanish. You are on your own. There is ZERO client support. The account representative who I met with (over the phone) to discuss listing my business as a vendor on their storefront was warm and friendly, but glossed over an important detail I raised pertaining to my storefront during the call that had potential legal implications for me (having the names of my DBA listed along with my business name on the storefront). I was told me she was unable to make these changes herself, and suggested that I wait to speak with the onboarding rep whose availability for an appointment was six weeks out (!) This was after my payment had been processed and I received the terms and conditions of the contract. They charge an exorbitant fee ($220 being the lowest tier in my area for a musician-the highest being $640 A MONTH to be a vendor on their storefront for a 12 month contract). This is just for visibility. They really do not offer anything more in terms of vendor support. Prices vary depending on region and how saturated the market is in your area with vendors. Their power lies in their SEO which ultimately competes against vendors who offer their services independently with no affiliation with the Knot/WW. Given the plethora of testimonials I have read here on TrustPilot and from wedding photographers, planners, and brides themselves on Reddit, it is clear that involving oneself with this company becomes a choice that many wish they could reverse. Only minutes after my first months' payment was processed was I informed I was looking a a six week wait until I could meet with an onboarding specialist to optimize my profile. If I had known this before the fact, I would not have proceeded. Additionally, the terms and conditions/contract agreement were emailed/shared with me AFTER they processed my payment. Needless to say, this left a sour taste in my mouth (more-so a bad feeling in my stomach that did not dissipate). After around 60-90 minutes of being on the phone with the representative, not once had she taken me through the contract or given me opportunity to read the terms and conditions. Account managers appear to be groomed to disappear when faced with any issues that a customer or vendor raises. It is notoriously difficult to get a reply or follow-up from them. It required a hefty deal of persistence from my end to reach a representative who handled my request, which stemmed from the strong instinct I had to cancel my contract and request a refund for the amount paid. The fact that they promise X amount of leads in a 12 month period is flat out fraud and misrepresentation when there are a plethora of vendors speaking out with similar experiences stating that any leads they did get were bots, or leads that became problematic (fake cheques/payment, etc), or if 'lucky', maybe a handful of real leads. In my case, the ROI was discussed at length. Instead of feeling like I was involving myself with a company who genuinely cares about the service and experience they provide for all parties, I felt like I was sidling up to a profit machine that is exploitive. They will not honor my request for a refund for the first month but I was successful in terminating my contract since I was within 30 days (it took me 2 weeks of emails and calls for this to happen however. I wondered at times if they were intentionally stalling or just hiding from me). My bank is involved now, and they have put a stop hold on any further payments with a dispute case filed. It appears that I am more fortunate than most in this regard. Reading others testimonials and experiences, I hope they get sued. What they are doing is flat out wrong.

The Knot Business Experience I work closely with Heather D. on The Knot, she does an outstanding job of ensuring our business utilizes all of the features on The Knot, the way it was intended to be optimally utilized. There were areas on the site, that weren't being used correctly she kindly and professionally pointed them out and has guided us to success. We don't have enough good things to say about Heather and The Knot. The up front investment may initially be expensive, but well worth your investment. Thank you for your hard work, Heather!

Just a number and a dollar sign to WeddingPro! The Knot used to be the the best advertising for my business, ever since they merged with WeddingWire, they’ve went from being personable, making us advertisers feel valued, and genuine. To money driven. I’ve never felt more like a number! I gave them enough of a chance thinking it was growing pains but I am DONE! Update: The Knot responded and instead of addressing any of my concerns. They sent a generic response (possibly even a bot??) this furthers proves my concerns. They went from a personal relationship to treating us vendors like another number/ dollar sign.

Waste of money Waste of money. Couldn't cancel online so had a phone call to cancel. Even though they knew to cancel and had instructions to do so, they renewed our contract for another year at a higher rate. Not worth the headache. If you don't want to find yourself having to sue for failure to comply with agreements, avoid at all costs.

I’m glad to see all these bad reviews… I’m glad to see all these bad reviews cause I went through exactly the same experience, stay away from the know and wedding wire, I wasted thousand of dollars on their fiasco one year lock, I got a few leads, none of them were real, I strongly concluded they are bots of fake leads cause I really tried to contact them back and none of them answered, I even called wedding wire for help and all you get is “oh you need to pay more Money to be up front! Ridiculous DONT ADVERTISE YOUR VENUE THERE!
