GBWine is oxidized, vinegary I recently bought two bottles of Ridge 1988 Montebello Cabernet Sauvignon from the Wine Cellarage. I opened one to discover the wine tasted like vinegar; it did not taste anything like it was supposed to, and I fear the wine has oxidized. (I recently drank a bottle of the same vintage, purchased from the winery, and it tasted completely different.) Edit: The Wine Cellarage heard of my bad bottle and offered to allow me to return it. They sent me a UPS label and I was able to send it back for a refund. I'm sorry the wine was off, but Wine Cellarage had great customer service.

GBdisappointing order, decent follow up re same I ordered a magnum of '96 Leoville Poyferre for Christmas. While not tainted, the wine was thin and faded quickly after decanting. I contacted Wine Cellarage about the wine, and they provided (1) assurance that the wine had been properly sourced and stored (and was likely an unfortunate "dud"); and (2) a $50 bottle of wine by way of compensation for the disappointing Poyferre. I think that was a relatively decent approach, and I appreciated the responsiveness of their team.

GBSignificant delay in arrival When I placed my order in April I was told I would receive the wine in June. I did not receive the wine until the middle of September. While everyone was very pleasant to work with, this was an unreasonable delay.

GBBest on line wine service - Wine Cellarage is my go to source online for fine wines and spirits. They offer unique and rare vintages as well as smaller artisan producers. I have purchased some of the best French Champagnes on the market as well as lovely cognacs - and wonderful Bordeaux. I would give them 5 stars but my only hesitation is the wine is packaged in styrofoam containers. If they used cardboard I would give them 10 stars.

GBWine in transit with UPS too long. My wine delivery was arranged with Cellarage well in advance to ship on Monday (11/30/15) for delivery by Thursday evening. My wine was picked up by UPS on Tuesday morning, instead of Monday, with delivery now scheduled for Friday evening. The UPS trailer arrived at the destination terminal (Austin, TX) Friday morning around 4:30 am, but my shipment was not unloaded until Saturday and not delivered until Monday evening. On Friday afternoon I received an email notification of a possible delay. Later on Friday afternoon, knowing the shipment had arrived in Austin, I spoke to a UPS customer service representative regarding why and when, to no avail.
