About Cocoaboutique

Based in Nottingham, Cocoa Boutique was founded by Amy Kershaw in 2012. Firmly believing that one Chocolatier can’t be ‘the best’ at everything we scoured the world for the greatest Award Winning Master and Artisan Chocolatiers, gave them a call and asked if they wanted to bring their finest creations to our lovely customers in unique, handpicked fresh selections. Working in partnership with world renowned Master Chocolatier Barry Colenso we're committed to bring you the stories and personalities behind the world's finest Chocolates. Along the way we're keen to intertwine your comments, wishes and requests - you shape the future of Cocoa Boutique.

Dislike this company Chocolates are overpriced. Good but not that good compared to what you can get elsewhere. Cocoa Boutique appear to gain customers via getting them to sign up for free or discounted chocolates. In small print this means they are then a member and will receive (often unexpected) boxes at full price thereafter. Although you must give permission and submit payment details, the lack of clarity and the small window in which you can then cancel membership, means that you are likely to be hoodwinked into overpriced chocolates you don't want at a later date. If you are vigilant and cancel membership after the discounted box, it is worth it. For the majority of us who forget and/or don't read the small print, it is not worth it. There is a guarantee to be refunded if you are not satisfied. This has not been true for myself or others. Don't believe it! Because I dislike the tactics and strategy used to gain customers, I will not buy from them again.

Poor customer service I ordered a trial via an Amazon Local offer. Received two boxes on 27 June 2015. Unfortunately with a BBE date of June 2015. Not a great start. Have contacted customer services to complain and had no response. Very poor service. Will definitely not join their tasting club and recommend that others do not use this company. A shame though as the chocolates were not bad and would have liked to sample more.

they send more chocolates you don't want and won't refund the charge I ordered a trial of this company's chocolates with an offer from the Gourmet Society. It clearly stated they wouldn't send more until I provided feedback. I didn't provide feedback yet today another box of chocolates arrived in the post. I called to advise I didn't want them and was basically told "tough". They now say I needed to advise them I didn't want them but this was not the information I received as it was a flyer that came with my Gourmet Society membership. Not happy that they swindle people this way - its not a good way to achieve ongoing business. I will find a different company to purchase chocolate from in future.

NEVER AGAIN Like others before me I ordered one box of chocolates for my mother in law at Xmas only to receive a further box in Jan which I was not aware that I had ordered. On attempting to speak with their 'customer services' department I could only get a recorded message. I also e mailed them only to be informed that I must have agreed to this as it is in the terms and conditions and they would not have sent the first box without this agreement. I was told to check the website, when I tried to do this the only way I could get to that information was to place another order and there was absolutely no chance of that. Basically they have shown no interest in this issue at all and I can only assume that this is the only way they can do business. So BE WARNED if you even contemplating ordering make sure you read everything and that you know exactly what you are letting yourself in for.

Scam artists Beware, the website says when you order a box you can 'decide' whether to join their tasting club. What they don't say is that they decide for you, you won't know until they send you another box and charge you £20 for the privilege which they refuse to refund. Absolute scam artists, won't be using them again.
