About Men's Liberty

TAKE BACK YOUR FREEDOM & CONFIDENCE with Men's Liberty A Device Like No Other The discreet, dignified, dependable option. When it comes to bladder leakage, there are many different options out there. But how do they stack up against Men’s Liberty? Our life-changing, male external catheter was designed to help men with urinary incontinence—no matter how old or young, no matter what the cause—regain their freedom and dignity. Adult diapers can be uncomfortable or embarrassing but Men’s Liberty effectively directs urine away from the skin keeping you dry 24/7. Unlike certain prescription drugs that promise to control your UI at the expense of possible side effects, Men’s Liberty is comfortable and sanitary. Condom catheters can potentially cause irritation or infection, especially if there is already broken or irritated skin, Men’s Liberty is gentle and safe. The benefits speak for themselves: -Fits most male anatomy -Effectively directs urine away from the skin, which reduces the risk of urinary tract infections -Uses a latex-free adhesive that is safe and hypoallergenic -Forms a complete seal without “pop-offs” -Can be easily removed with our FreeDerm product -Wearable for up to 24 hours -Replaces diapers and saves caregivers from changing diapers multiple times a day -Covered in U.S. by Medicare, over 3,000 private insurances, workers compensation and VA/TRICARE Our Customers are the proof Hear what others are saying about our life-changing device. “I have been using Men’s Liberty for one-and-a-half years. Men’s Liberty has given me my freedom back.” ~ A. Nieto, diagnosed with ALS and an activist for an ALS cure “Men’s Liberty has been a lifesaver. Wearing an indwelling catheter is not an optimal solution for a spinal cord injured person because of the great potential to contracting urinary tract infections. Men’s Liberty is not an invasive product, and it has allowed me to maintain my lifestyle with my work and family. It’s a wonderful option to have.” ~ John C “I have ALS, and I didn’t think there was a bladder control device on the market that would enable me to have the quality of life I have with Men’s Liberty. Thank you!” ~ Glen in Colorado “Men’s Liberty is terrific. I can keep doing what I want to do, without having to worry about running to the bathroom or changing my clothes. It’s a Godsend.” ~ John in Michigan “Men’s Liberty saved my husband’s life.” ~ Mrs. B in Arizona “Liberty helps me keep up my work pace. Before Liberty, if I had to go to the bathroom, it was a production. Liberty has taken a major problem and made it nonexistent. Now I can still brief dignitaries around the world or whatever I need to do.” ~ J. Wright, Air Force Engineer with Multiple Sclerosis “I would recommend Liberty to anybody who is active in life and wants to get out. Just because you’re in a chair doesn’t mean you have to be tied down to your house. Liberty lets you get out and do the stuff you enjoy.” ~ D. Duncan, T7, T8 Paraplegic and avid sportsman “I have been using Liberty’s for two years now. The Liberty has given me a life back. I almost lived in the bathroom, not any more! I feel so secure knowing I won’t leak.” ~ D. Keil, Illinois

Poor performance I have several difficulties with the product. I shower in the evening and attach the Liberty with an extra revolution of 1 1/2" tape. I have a problem with retraction and over half the time the unit comes off during the night, wetting the bed and me, even with the extra Next tape wrap. Only rarely does the unit stay attached for the promised 24 hours. I also regret losing the venting valve at the top, which often allowed me to drain the liquid from the tip of the unit before it would back up. It was easier when the faceplate was attached to the tube in the previous model. Also, the non-stinging BioPlus+ wipe really stings a lot.

Appliance attached well and stayed in… Appliance attached well and stayed in place. There was no leakage. All good. But at my level of activity it was awkward, always reminding me it was there. Psychologically, I didn’t like it because I always had to spend the time to put it on and take it off, making me feel that I was more of an invalid than I think of myself. I am totally incontinent following prostatectomy, using 5 pads per day with occasional leak thru if I’m not careful, but I prefer that to the Men’s Liberty appliance. As I get older and more sedentary , my thoughts may change.

valve design needs more work I have used the external catheter for about a year combined with a calf catheter bag. Recently have had to go back to diaper because of design deficiency in the vacuum break valve. It does not provide enough air flow to allow the urine to pass freely down the tube. This results in a suction effect on the tip of the penis leaving it engorged at the end of the day. It also leaves the penis tip constantly exposed to urine. These combined effects produce what I can only describe as diaper rash on the penis around the opening. I don't recall the previous valve design giving this much of a problem. My usage of the device has been greatly diminished as a result.

A well-engineered, comfortable product -- but one caveat A well-engineered, comfortable product. It didn't take long to learn how to use it easily, without accident. But one caveat: My most recent shipment has design change in the release valve at the bottom of the catchment bag and a different relief valve at the top. The result, at least in my limited experience with the new design, is that it takes longer to empty the bag. I like the old design better; but even with the new model, I'd hate to go back to soggy pads

Once a week falls off within 24 hrs Once a week falls off within 24 hrs. Been spending extra time with all phases of instruction. Have mentioned to staff before sure wish us users had a forum we could compare notes. Nurse is not the answer. Only get repeats of the printed material. Would be great if we're talking to someone is a present user. Wonder if there is even one employee who uses the product. I'm trying now a second faceplate lower for more surface. May end ordering 100 plus. Sure do not plan to go back to pads.
