I'm giving them 2 stars because the… I'm giving them 2 stars because the therapist is good but the company is terrible. But now, the therapist has stopped my appointments over billing issues. There is no one to contact about these issues except some customer service foreigners who don't know diddly and do squat. The insurance company got it wrong too so they're not alone and I'm the one in the middle and losing out. Do not reply to me with a copy and paste rote answer.

Don’t trust the billing dept!! While I like both therapists I’ve had here (I only switched bc the first went on maternity leave) but the billing department does not know what they’re doing. They make you put a card on file for the monthly membership fee of ~$39. Then they’re supposed to pull money from your account weekly based on your deductible and out-of-pocket limits. I was dumb to assume that I’d hit my deductible when the payments stopped. Well to my surprise they pulled $2276 from my account all in one go after I paid a small $19 fee they charged. The money was pulled on 10/25/23 for appointments I’d had back in March 2023. No one knows why, they can’t refund me everything and to put me on a payment plan (something I wasn’t aware of) I need to give more money. The refund of course won’t go through for 10 days so I have no money in my account until then but they don’t care. Now I was told I had until Wednesday to give the first payment but no that’s a lie as they pulled it today 10/30/23. I’m now deeper in the negative and am done with this place once this payment plan is paid off. NOT TRUSTWORTHY AT ALL. I’m warning you now

SCAM ARTISTS SCAM ARTISTS these people prey on the weak minded patients by making them sign unreasonable 48 hour no cancellation contracts. If you cancel your appointment for any reason before 48 hours of your appointment they bill you. If you try to call the customer service they are trained to lead you in circles promising to you that they will ask management to forgive the cancellation fee of $135.00 but never do anything. REPORT TO ATTORNEY GENERAL if they do this to you.

Great therapists, terrible billing/office The therapists my family has worked with have been wonderful. The Thriveworks billing department, however, are pretty awful. We've had frequent issues with them charging incorrect cards despite us asking them to update our payment method. The staff at the billing center are generally pretty unhelpful unless you manage to speak to a supervisor. They sound like they're trying but have very little power to actually solve problems. I think they've got some great therapists, but they need to get the business side sorted out.

Thriveworks bad business practices I logged in to write a review of Thriveworks and was amazed to read another review that captured almost word for word my sentiments. Therapist is awesome, company is terrible. My teenage daughter's appointments were cancelled without warning, and when I immediately called to get support, it was an off-shore call center, and the agent knew nothing and could do nothing. Even though the billing issue was resolved and they actually had access to my credit card the whole time, they refused to put my daughter's appointment back on the schedule, citing some 48 hour company policy. Agent refused to allow me to speak to any other person, saying they were "all in meetings." She was entirely unhelpful and unfriendly. Very frustrating and saddening, as this company is in the business of mental health. I had another experience previously when my daughter had strep throat, and I called to cancel AT LEAST 24 hours in advance, but they have a hard line, non-negotiable 72 hour cancellation policy, so they charged me a ridiculous fee to cancel.
