About MDLIVE

Founded in 2009, MDLIVE is a visionary and pioneer in the digital delivery of high-quality, convenient, cost-efficient care. The company provides consumers, health plans, health systems and self-insured employers with 24/7/365 access to board-certified doctors and pediatricians via secure online video, phone or the MDLIVE App. Instead of the inconvenience and expense of ER or urgent care visits for non-emergency issues, registered users can receive a virtual consultation through the company’s HIPAA and PHI-compliant secure, cloud-based platform from home or on the go, and if necessary, obtain an e-prescription. Through Breakthrough, the company’s behavioral health service, MDLIVE enables consumers to schedule video appointments with licensed therapists. Lots of technical glitches Lots of technical glitches. I've used video telehealth for years on same PC but would not work in MD Live and the therapist confirmed it's wonky. They send you confirmations to confirm your session then when you click to confirm it says the appointment does not exist and since you did not confirm, the appt is cancelled. If you go through Cigna that adds another level of disconnect, as confirmed by the rep I just spoke to ("Rayna.")

Had a tooth infection- needed… Had a tooth infection- needed Amoxicillin ASAP- quick tele visit with the Doc- he asked all the right questions and confirmed my self diagnosis. Quick trip to the local pharmacy and infection has subsided considerably. Just need to finish the course of tablets and I'm good to go!

Don’t waste your time with the urgent… Don’t waste your time with the urgent care on MD live. I have had a sinus infection for a week and all the “prescribed” me was an over the counter nasal spray. When I ask for a steroid/antibiotic he said they can’t prescribe those for sinus infections. So I just wasted $60 dollars.

Overcharged for appointment Scheduled a call with a dr 2/7. Received a prompt call back. Said they would send a prescription to my pharmacy. Dr visit was first thing in the morning. The pharmacy did not receive my prescription. There is no way to get back in contact with the dr. Submitted an online chat. Finally my prescription was sent in the evening. Visit should have been covered 100% by my insurance with no charge to me. Confirmed with my carrier, but my card was charged $82 over a month later on 3/15. Requested a refund. They finally billed my insurance as originally requested. Insurance paid the claim 4/6. Was told the refund could take up to 30 days. Over 30 days later still no refund! Now they have received my payment as well as payment from my insurance carrier. Will not use their services again!

Easy and Convenient to use The service was extremely easy and convenient to use. To help the provider, I took pictures and provided the important health history. Within 30-minutes I received a call-back, confirmation of diagnosis and prescription. Without this service I would have needed to delay treatment for several days until I had a day off work.
