GBI was fit with Starkey hearing aids… I was fit with Starkey hearing aids last week and they sound amazing. The service was prompt and they were kind with m questions.

GBPlastic earmolds are like rocks in your ears First time hearing aid user (3 months). Hearing loss is mild to moderate in high ranges. Luckily I can get by with using the domes (earbuds) only because the hard plastic earmolds are like putting rocks in your ears. I will never wear them! Hearing aid specialist even ground them down some, but they are too uncomfortable to wear. Need a better material than hard plastic.

GBSome improvements & differences from my previous hearing aids The edge mode is very nice & I’ve been using it. I also love the recharging battery, which is different than my previous hearing aid. Although making adjustments through the iPhone is very convenient on this model, I miss being able to adjust the sound UP & DOWN (2 buttons on the ear piece, instead of one.). It now has to go through all of the settings every time I need to adjust the sound, instead of just hitting either button.

GBReally disappointed with these hearing… Really disappointed with these hearing aids, I was very strongly advised by the audiologist that I would vastly prefer private aids over NHS. What a mistake, the NHS ones are much preferable. A very expensive mistake. The Starkey aids also turn themselves off if I fall asleep, rubbish if you are waiting for the door bell to ring.

GBDon’t bother I’ve had Starkey aids for maybe 4 years and they must’ve been back to Starkey at least 4 times if not more. I collected them again this morning from the audiologist and guess what when I came to pairing them… neither microphone nor receiver worked on either. And THIS is what they’ve just been away for a week for, the. They came back on Tuesday and failed in the audiologist. Then again today. Core functionality non existent - they are supposed to help me hear. All they do is cause aggravation and embarrassment . I’m done.
