GBWhat a waste of money What a waste of money. I wanted to ask a doctor about a medication I was prescribed by my regular doctor because after researching it, I wasn't entirely convinced that it was safe. I would have gone to my regular doctor but it would have been a while before being able to see her because she travels. The online doctor didn't answer my question about whether or not it was safe. He basically just told me that if I have concerns then I shouldn't take it. Definitely NOT worth the money.

GBOverall a great service, but beware of false advertising Overall, a great service. Free educational answers to many common medical questions, and many uncommon questions as well. Gets 4/5 stars because I've had trouble in the past with what seemed like false advertising. I purchased a premium plan based off of advertising of a free consult with a specialist, only to find out that the premium plan only includes limited primary care. I requested a refund and they did not budge even when I showed them documentation. Overall, though, a very unique and useful app.

GBHard to get actual help Still waiting after 2 days for a response to a 'free' question. Decided to take advantage of the 30 day trial for a paid subscription for faster answers. Asked a new question and learned that a) only the primary care docs are free -- everything else gives you a modest discount. And even there, I couldn't seem to connect to a doctor. Just got sent to a list of questions similar to mine. So I canceled my free trial after a couple of hours. A question I'd asked a few months ago DID get an answer (fairly quickly, IIRC) ... which made it pretty obvious that he hadn't actually read the question since the answer was not relevant. And the 150 character limit for your questions makes it impossible to give any sort of detail, making the odds of an accurate answer even lower.

GBJust in one area...I answer questions… Just in one area...I answer questions in the Learn and Teach section. After answering the question, when I click the back button, I'm returned to the top of the question list, and have to start over at the top, but also type in my specialty again. This might be OK after answering the first question of the many, but after scrolling down 30 or so questions to find one to answer, answering it, then returning, it is quite time consuming to start over, enter the category of my expertise, scroll down 30 questions to find the next one. Its gotten so cumbersome that I've stopped answering questions.

GBGreat for someone who currently isn't… Great for someone who currently isn't insured at the moment like myself. Doctor Tsai listened, didn't rush and actually engaged with his patient like doctors should. I rarely recommend services, but HealthTap has mine 100%.
