GBTotal waste of time Total waste of time. My regular Dr. Found and removed a skin spot so recommended getting a skin scan. The "Dr" barely looked at my skin. I literally stood in a paper gown, turned around and he said see you next year. Nope! Go to North Idaho Dermatology. Not yuppy, very friendly, he a actually looked at all areas of my skin also asked and answered questions.

GBI paid my consultation fee for an appt… I paid my consultation fee for an appt and then the person I had an appt with went into labor on the morning of my appointment. They offered another doctor who said he wasn’t comfortable giving injections and I should wait for the girl to come back from leave. It’s been 6 months and the girl resigned and I can’t get my fee back nor could I get my injections in time for my daughters wedding. Extremely disappointed in this facility.

GBI won’t go back. I have been three times and they have been unable to properly address an issue I am having. Very very expensive that you have to keep paying for because they can’t properly address the issue. Going to a new dermatologist. Oh and prior to that they misdiagnosed a brown recluse spider bite causing sepsis that caused me to land in the ER two days after the misdiagnoses. Follow up has been horrible and takes too long.

GBAdvanced Dermatology is very poorly… Advanced Dermatology is very poorly managed! Numerous people are scheduled with the same doctor at the exact same appointment time.I arrived to a waiting room full of patients all waiting for Dr. Patel. I asked how many people had an appointment scheduled for the same time as my appointment and 4 people had the same appointment time. I have never been at this office that I did not have to wait an unreasonable time. When I have seen Dr Patel she rushes through the examination.

GBGeneral Care & billing practices I had a skin lesion burnt off. The PA barely acknowledged me, giving minimal eye contact. After treatment, he said come back in 3 weeks. On the 2nd visit...still no eye contact or acknowledgement. The lesion had reduced to 1 mm in diameter and he cryo burned it again- this time to about 14mm in diameter. There were no instructions on how to care for the treated area and the resulting very large blister. It'll be ok as I'm monitoring closely. I had to go online to download care instructions from competing dermatologists. The care seemed substandard tbh. They charged this as surgery. PA didn't wash his hands, didn't prep the area, and didn't bandage the area on both visits. At the very minimum, a surgery should be clean. At the end he said to the room "come back as needed" and left. I had to ask for a bandaid from the 'nurse'. The admin then proceeded to attempt to collect the amt that they should bill the insurance. I asked to be billed after the insurance remitted what they would pay. They agreed. IMO, it seems they're bullying people to pay up front. I imagine older individuals would be comply even tho they say they accept insurance. Can you imagine the nightmare if they overbilled you? How long would it take for them to send back money? How much time would you have to spend to get them to agree they owe money and to write a check? How long it would take for them to generate said check? They're banking on that, pun intended. Many give up. Last, Advanced Dermatology bills the patient the 3% that they are billed by the credit card companies. This 3% is a surcharge by the credit card company for that business' privilege of having a CC billing system. They don't tell the patient that they are going to collect this beforehand. They could include this info up front, or in their reminder emails (but it might cost them patients perhaps?). They also don't tell the patient that they only take exact change if he/she wants to avoid this unwarranted charge. Make sure to take quarters, pennies, nickels, dimes, dollar bills, 5s, 10s and 20s with you so you dont have to pay the 3% that is their responsibilty over your deductible amount. You pay this before you can be seen. They seem to be a well-oiled machine when it comes to collecting money but when it comes to care.. maybe not so much. I saw a doctor 20 years ago at this office but the last few times that my husband and I went, we could not get a doctor. I think we are done.
