GBThe Office staff and Drs are very helpful The Weight Loss Institute of AZ has had staff available to answer my questions and help me understand the details of the lap band procedure. The location in Glendale is convenient and the office staff always try to assist as needed. The procedure went well and weight loss has begun.

GBDon't forget how you got here I first meet the doctors about 4 years ago. The team was extremely helpful and would go out of their way to meet my needs. I now feel they might of gotten to big or over committed for their own good. I am still al customer and plan to always be because they are amazing doctors especially Dr. O, I just don't get that "Cheers" feeling anymore.

GBVERY misleading! I was not told that the initial consultation costs $375. They also try to get you to stay out of network with your insurance. They get to make more money that way. When insisted on staying in network, they want to add all of these fees onto the bill that would be in addition to your deductible and max out of pocket. So I have to pay a "retainer fee" for a surgeon just because I want to stay in network and save money? My out of network max is $12,000.00. When I asked how much it was going to cost me if I stayed out of network they couldn't give me a straight answer. All I was told was, "We're not going to charge you $12,000.00." Sorry if I won't take your word for it. Threw up several red flags for me, but the surprise consult bill was the final straw. Be cautious. Edit: I have now gotten another EOB from my insurance showing another charge for a visit of $521.40 along with $363.00 for an EKG that they did NOT do and $180.40 for them to poke my finger to check my sugar. The bills keep coming even though I only went once. Tell me how I am charged for a physician twice in one visit!? Sounds fraudulent to me! Beware!
