GBImpossible to get through to the right… Impossible to get through to the right department! I appreciate that their numbers may be reduced but it is absolutely pointless having an overflow team who cant deal with calls. Ive been trying to cancel my policy for the past 4 days. I press the button to route my call to the cancellation team to wait for 5 minutes to speak to someone who tells me the cancellation team are all busy and that they will arrange a call back which will take 3 days. I wait 3 days with no call back so I call again to have the same thing happen! I would rather you keep me on hold for however long so I get to speak to the right department and get my policies cancelled. False promises of call backs that dont happen dont improve someone's opinion of you.

GBShockingly bad service and really disappointed Really disappointed so far. I'd recommend paying the premium for a better company. We waited 4 weeks after making a claim (apparently the wait time was meant to be 2 weeks) all whilst chasing them up, not once did we recieve any form of communication from them. Being that we had to pay for our vets bills up front we struggled with our bills that month and when we were 1 day late paying our monthly payment, we were told they wouldn't even tell us if the claim had been approved until we paid our monthly premium. Sorry folks but this is the first bad review I've written in my life and I'm 36 years of age. I genuinely hope people get a chance to read this prior to deciding to take an insurance with them. Very doubtful they'll even cover the cost judging from our experience this far.

GBI cannot express enough my frustration… I cannot express enough my frustration with this company. We bought a policy for our dog but realised that it wasn’t for us so cancelled the same day - way within our 14 day cooling off period. It’s now been nearly a month and several unfulfilled promises later, I still don’t have my refund.

GBDO NOT use 4 Paws pet insurance DO NOT take out pet insurance using this company! They completely ignored the information provided by my vet about the date something happened and then tried to do some dodgy maths saying that it had happened before the date it actually did. Then they sent a follow up email saying either way they weren't paying out. It was very rude and basically refused to look further into the details and just outright denied our claim. (Which the vet assured us would be covered on insurance). They still haven't paid out and it has cost us nearly £1000 for sh-ite insurance and the treatment. Could have saved myself £300 if I had just paid outright for the treatment rather than throwing it away on insurance which apparently wont cover anything. Many people had told me not to bothered getting pet insurance because it is always crap, but I wanted to be covered from when we first got out kitten so he would be covered for his whole life... My advice to people considering pet insurance, DON'T especially if you are thinking about using 4 Paws.

GBBuyer Beware I'm writing this review to warn other pet owners about our experience with with 4PAWS. We purchased a policy for our beloved Maltipoo Toby, believing it would provide financial security in case of unexpected illness. Unfortunately, that turned out not to be the case. Toby was sick once and had diarrhea which was the main issue in August 2023. We promptly took them to the vet, who diagnosed a bug with anti-biotics and a pro-biotic to settle his stomach, Toby made a full recovery and showed no further signs of the condition and was never prescribed any conditions and illness. Reassured, we continued with switching our pet insurance policy to 4Paws. Fast forward to recently, when Toby experienced a completely new illness in December 2013, vomiting regularly with blood and no diarrhea . We submitted a claim, confident our insurance would help. However, to our utter disappointment, 4PAWS denied the claim! Their justification? They classified Toby vomiting once in August 2023 as a pre-existing condition, despite the vet's documentation of a full recovery, recommendation that it was not linked due to no recurring symptoms and that medication worked which hasn't to date. The original condition was successfully treated and wasn't a chronic issue. Now, we're facing a significant vet bill for a completely unrelated illness. Their customer service has been unhelpful, slow and impersonal throughout this ordeal. We feel completely let down by a company that supposedly cares about pets. If you're looking for pet insurance that will actually cover you, avoid 4 Paws at all costs! Look for a company with a clear and transparent policy on pre-existing conditions, and one that prioritizes customer service. Don't make the same mistake we did.
