GBSmart Thaw is a well designed product Smart Thaw is a well designed product. Sensing water temp instead of ambient temp saves water (gals of water a day depending on ambient temps- causing unnecessary well/pressure pump cycling) and takes advantage of insulated water lines. No need for electrical heating, running power cords and unnecessary waste of electricity for heating faucets during transitory ambient temps. Cannot speak to its performance at this time nor its life expectancy.

GBIt's a little early, but since you insist... Well, so far, so good. Since this is your second request for a review and I've had my heated hose for a whole week already, I feel well qualified to report that water has successfully flowed through it for the entire week. It has been plugged in to its thermostat and hasn't shorted out or electrocuted anyone (yet), and since water flowed continuously even though temps dropped below 30 twice, I assume that the controller works well, too. Since we're in Montana I'd recommend that you check back, say, around the end of January and then maybe I can report on some real experience other than the fine delivery service (UPS).

GBExcellent customer service! Excellent customer service! Called a few times before placing my order ans was greeted by woman (sorry don't remember your name) who was very helpful and answered all my questions on each call. Oh yeah ..the hose :) Very good quality and works just as described. Thank you for being there.

GBHeated Water Hose - FreezeFreeHose -and-Add-A-Stat Thermostatic Controlled Outlet I ordered these items: Heated Water Hose - FreezeFreeHose and Add-A-Stat Thermostatic Controlled Outlet. They both are working great! The Add-A-Stat turns on at 35* just as stated. And turns off at the right time too. Thank you for this product! I highly recommend these 2 products.

GBJunk The temperature sensor wouldn't fit in the box with the extension cord plugs attached. When pulling the extension cord plugs out of the temperature sensor the whole sensor fell apart. Threw the box and the sensor away, not worth the effort to return. Just hope the heated hose isn’t junk as well but won’t know until freezing temperature.
