Nine days in… I am just nine days in and am still in the fingers 'very sore' stage but I am enjoying the lessons immensely. I am a 73 year old complete beginner following both Lisa's and Anders' 'Guitar Fundamentals 1' concurrently and there is no doubt that I am making progress. I hate to look back but I wish I had done this years ago but, looking forward, I am confident that with Guitar Tricks I will learn to play guitar. Fantastic!

Path to success This looks like i may finally have a path to success. I purchased their biggest competitor, and even though they are very good, I needed more structure, Guitar Tricks offers that. I was hoping they would offer a Jazz component, but Blue is the main area of interest. I started from introduction 1 and because I do have some experience some of the videos were not needed and others were a review, It was worth it to give me a feel on how to best use the lessons. I have now started down the blues path and enjoying it. I would have like it if the instructor kept the distortion off his guitar so I can compare clean sounds but I'll get over it. I'm a 65 yr old student, so you can do it.. Go for it!

As a beginner I find Guitar Tricks a… As a beginner I find Guitar Tricks a good learning resource. I started on the beginner level course, even though I had already completed the Fender Play course. Even though I would rate the Fender course, it was more of an introduction to the Guitar, whilst Guitar Tricks course focused improving. The instructors are solid guitarist who give helpful tips and advice. An important lesson I am learning is to be patient and not to rush into more advance guitar until I polish up on the basics. In all, I am really enjoying learning with Guitar Tricks, but taking a pre-course before signing up has really benefited my progression.

Excellent value! I have greatly appreciated Guitar Tricks' course work. Not knowing anything about playing I've appreciated how basic, short, and encouraging each lesson is. It gives you time to pause, re start watch, listen and learn. If you have trouble you can always go back. Anders is very encouraging and online nice, the kind of person you wish you could be friends with. For a very new player he slows down and shows every step. Overall I am extremely satisfied and it is well worth the cost. 1 week and I am comfortable with four chords.
