I had books and I would practice for several months, get frustrated and quit for a year or more. This process has continued and I haven't gotten very far. I already see a huge advantage to having a person talk about the lesson and demonstrate the lesson for you. I didn't even know that I should use my fingertips! I'm excited to continue and see where this leads me. I think the instructor is good at talking you out of becoming frustrated, which has been my major problem.

As a beginner I find Guitar Tricks a… As a beginner I find Guitar Tricks a good learning resource. I started on the beginner level course, even though I had already completed the Fender Play course. Even though I would rate the Fender course, it was more of an introduction to the Guitar, whilst Guitar Tricks course focused improving. The instructors are solid guitarist who give helpful tips and advice. An important lesson I am learning is to be patient and not to rush into more advance guitar until I polish up on the basics. In all, I am really enjoying learning with Guitar Tricks, but taking a pre-course before signing up has really benefited my progression.
