Alibris and their sellers make it right. Out of perhaps 200 transactions through Alibris I have only experienced 3 problems. Each time I contacted Alibris and then the seller involved, the seller then provided a satisfactory solution, for me, for the problem.

Good options and fast shipping This book (The War in Bosnia-Herzegovina) came recommended as a good book to learn about the conflict but appears to be out of print and is quite expensive elsewhere. We were able to find a good quality used copy for very cheap from Alibris, and from a seller that uses their funds to promote literacy in local children. The book shipped very quickly as well. It was all around a very good experience!

According to the tracking info from the shipping company, the label was created, but the package was never received by the shipping company. I never received the items I ordered, and Alibris stated that, "They must have been lost in the mail." They have refused to issue a refund or ship the items I ordered. I now have to get legal involved just to get a refund.

I have been buying books from Albris… I have been buying books from Albris for over twenty years. I live in Asia, where it is hard to find reasonably priced books in English. So Albris has been a life-line for purchase that I consider to be very important to my professional and personal interests. My only regret is that shipping fees have increased with a depressing remorselessness over the years. I understand the reasons for this, but it just worries me that it will impact the ability of Alibris to look after far flung buyers like me. Anyway, keep up the great wor,k
