GBI paid for new books from them I paid for new books from them. According to the tracking info from the shipping company, the label was created, but the package was never received by the shipping company. I never received the items I ordered, and Alibris stated that, "They must have been lost in the mail." They have refused to issue a refund or ship the items I ordered. I now have to get legal involved just to get a refund.

GBPaid for a dirty book with folded edges… Paid for a dirty book with folded edges and a nearly broken spine. This is the last time I’ll be using this service. I don’t understand why a company would label a used book in good condition as this but I guess this is a book in “good condition”. Another thing, I paid for quicker shipping, and it came nearly a week late so don’t bother paying for extra shipping and just get normal shipping.

CAAlibris and their sellers make it right. Out of perhaps 200 transactions through Alibris I have only experienced 3 problems. Each time I contacted Alibris and then the seller involved, the seller then provided a satisfactory solution, for me, for the problem.

GBWish their shipping department was better trained I was so disappointed and saddened to receive the three books I ordered, and the two hardcovers (which were gifts) were damaged so much that I had to return them. They were packaged in a box with barely any padding--just a strip of sealed air pouches on top--so the books slid around and the corners of the box got crushed, crushing the books at the same time. It is such a waste of new books and resources. I hope that Alibris trains their team better so that this doesn't happen again. I ended up buying from a local bookstore to make sure I could get the books in good condition.
