TWI have been buying books from Albris… I have been buying books from Albris for over twenty years. I live in Asia, where it is hard to find reasonably priced books in English. So Albris has been a life-line for purchase that I consider to be very important to my professional and personal interests. My only regret is that shipping fees have increased with a depressing remorselessness over the years. I understand the reasons for this, but it just worries me that it will impact the ability of Alibris to look after far flung buyers like me. Anyway, keep up the great wor,k

GBGreat option for 2nd hand books I like that using Albris allows me to support 2nd hand bookstores across the US and bypass Amazon. I've never had an issue with the quality of books I received and usually receive them within 10 business days at most but often less time than that.

GBI paid for new books from them I paid for new books from them. According to the tracking info from the shipping company, the label was created, but the package was never received by the shipping company. I never received the items I ordered, and Alibris stated that, "They must have been lost in the mail." They have refused to issue a refund or ship the items I ordered. I now have to get legal involved just to get a refund.

GBYou better follow up! Alibris is fine for finding books, and the sales process is easy and they take your money. HOWEVER be aware that some sellers like "Hippobooks" will take your money and never ship your book. If you don't check up quickly, they will say it's past the deadline and stonewall you. Alibris DOES NOT support the customer in these cases.
