A goldmine for lost treasures! Saw the movie 40 yrs ago, but had been unable to find the sci-fi novel it was based on, Robert Merle's 'Malevil,' anywhere (not even on Amazon's French site), so was truly grateful to have found a copy in the original French on Alibris. Wish their shipping department was better trained I was so disappointed and saddened to receive the three books I ordered, and the two hardcovers (which were gifts) were damaged so much that I had to return them. They were packaged in a box with barely any padding--just a strip of sealed air pouches on top--so the books slid around and the corners of the box got crushed, crushing the books at the same time. It is such a waste of new books and resources. I hope that Alibris trains their team better so that this doesn't happen again. I ended up buying from a local bookstore to make sure I could get the books in good condition.
