Great option for 2nd hand books I like that using Albris allows me to support 2nd hand bookstores across the US and bypass Amazon. I've never had an issue with the quality of books I received and usually receive them within 10 business days at most but often less time than that.

Wish their shipping department was better trained I was so disappointed and saddened to receive the three books I ordered, and the two hardcovers (which were gifts) were damaged so much that I had to return them. They were packaged in a box with barely any padding--just a strip of sealed air pouches on top--so the books slid around and the corners of the box got crushed, crushing the books at the same time. It is such a waste of new books and resources. I hope that Alibris trains their team better so that this doesn't happen again. I ended up buying from a local bookstore to make sure I could get the books in good condition.

I have been buying books from Albris… I have been buying books from Albris for over twenty years. I live in Asia, where it is hard to find reasonably priced books in English. So Albris has been a life-line for purchase that I consider to be very important to my professional and personal interests. My only regret is that shipping fees have increased with a depressing remorselessness over the years.
