Long time fan I've became a Campmor fan well before "The Winter of our Discount Tent" catalog. They buy excess stock and pass the savings on. Their inventory changes rapidly. In my opinion they are the backpackers Blue Book.

Large selection, good prices I've ordered from Campmor for years, and even stopped into the store once when I was traveling down the East coast. Their catalog is a small, black&white cheap affair that keeps their costs down... the website is pretty decent, item descriptions are good and the Q&A section is helpful to get that little bit of extra info. Pricing and shipping are very competitive with massive warehouse corporations.

This store has the best customer … This store has the best customer service ever! The staff is also incredibly knowledgeable and would rather you buy the correct gear for you than what's in their inventory. (Much better than REI!)
