GBHaving valued audible for my grandchildren todays experience was a nightmare! Having always valued audible for my eldest dyslexic granddaughter I encouraged my younger granddaughter (10) to use it when studying The Sword in the Stone by T.H.White .We were bitterly disappointed to find that you have not used the complete classic text used by English schools but rather another alien version .This means that 2 key chapters on Audible follow a completely different version of T.H.White's text from the Collins Modern Classics and essential modern classics version. I'm aware that White reversioned the story several times in his lifetime BUT surely the version Audible is using needs a Warning label or other children will have a similarly dissonant experience? Instead of White's wonderful battle in chapter 11-12 between Robin Wood and his crew with Kay and Wart and Marion against the cannibalistic Anthrophagi there is a less well developed story of Morgan le Fays castle and fighting the Griffin. Why have Audible chosen this version of T.H.White's well loved text ?How can you rectify this ?

USDon't purchase audible audio books with your Amazon.com account!!! I ended up with a duplicate account on Amazon Prime when I got a new TV. One was linked to my Audible account. Customer service had me delete the duplicate so I could access my streaming subscriptions on my TV. I specifically asked about my Audible audio books and movies purchases. Rep said it would be fine. I ended up with access to my streaming services on my TV, and my Audible account completely deleted! I had purchased over 185 audio books as of about six months ago (i have a screen shot of my Audible account from that time), and four purchased credits. At $15.00 a credit that is $2,775 in purchased books and $60 in credits that they just WIPED OUT. Contacted customer support for HOURS of time over three DAYS. They ended with "IT will email me in 72 hours to say what they could recover. That was over a week ago. So they basically stole almost three THOUSAND dollars from me.

NLTwo accounts are simultaneously charged \ unable to file a complaint Two accounts are simultaneously charged. Audible Amazon, Audible Uk. I terminated both accounts, received confirmation for both terminations, yet, they keep getting charged. I brought the issue under attention of both help desks. Both halfway our chat show a ' technical issue, connection terminated, you will be helped by a representative, which does not happen...

USGenerally I am happy with Audible Generally I am happy with Audible, but their membership is a bit complicated at times-- my biggest complaint are two-fold. The first is unused Credits just go away if not used. The 2nd issue is their phone app is a battery KILLER. I often listen with my phone during the day and it will absolutely drain my android in about 5 hours.

AUAmazon (Audible) account closed without warning or reason After a month of confused back and forth with Amazon (Audible) customer service, Amazon (Audible) closed my account without warning. I wasn't told why or given an opportunity to respond to any concerns, then I was told Amazon (Audible) may not respond to further correspondence from me. Even though, I had provided them with the information that they had requested. I now can't access my library of Audible audiobooks that I own, or create a new Audible account using my phone number as it is tied to my closed account. Amazon (Audible) controls the market and do not hold themselves accountable for how they treat their customers. Better and safer to avoid them, and choose a competitor.
