Decent app but does nothing to solve its problems Been using Tumblr for probably 10 years now and while I heavily feel that it's the "don't fix it if ain't broke" type I find it really annoying that nothing is done regarding bots. So, there is no more adult content that artists made for expressing themselves. Users get banned for no reason because of dumb bots. They cannot retrieve their banned accounts' data. All of their pictures, comments, and textual posts get removed once those accounts get banned as a result. Which is why Tumblr has become a draconian witch hunt platform. There are people who have left Tumblr because their accounts get banned for no reason and they don't have the original amount of artistic freedom on it anymore. It has become a sad place with people walking on eggshells because of self-censorship.

They were taken over by Yahoo who promised not to "screw it up", then changed their terms relating to adult content - purging many NSFW blogs, rather than tackling the same problems that face all social media platforms. Since then there's been an exodus of people who have abandoned the website.
