Poor support The worst part about Crashplan is they have no way to contact them via telephone. Support is handled through a ticketing process and they are slow to respond. I closed an account in 2023 and they continue to bill every month for it.

Beware Of Crashplan Crashplan has chat support but never anyone monitoring it. The email support is slow and not very easy to use and if you can't log in you cannot even raise a ticket. At the moment I am getting warning emails that I have not backed up when I try to restart a backup it says " Service Currently Unavailable". They Have introduced an Authenticator System which gives you three codes but none work. It used to be a good service but has steadily gone downhill I would like to change but to backup 2+ terabytes would take days. Also when you try to log in sometimes it routes to something called Zendesk. If things change I will let you know but I am not counting on it

horrific customer service They dumped all of us personal users and now only do businesses. They've made it IMPOSSIBLE to ever reach a person. Horrible customer service. Make everything WAY too complex to do anything on the account anymore. When you have a problem you have to submit a "ticket" which no one ever answers. Goodbye!!!!!

Horrible Tech Support When you invest in an online backup service, good tech support is going to be a must. If you have a situation involving lost or corrupted data, a support agent you can count on will be crucial. The company drops the ball in that very important department. There are many good backup companies out there and CrashPlan is one to stay away from. "March" in tech support is a prime example of this.

Total monsters Total monsters. They had an excellent product then they burned their customers and destroyed their backups by giving them no way to recover their data. They certainly warned us, but they went the extra step of destroying the installed clients on people's machines and making it impossible to recover later.
