About Jende Industries

Jende Industries is currently an international company with facilities in the US, Australia, Malaysia, and Taiwan. Ironically, we had no intentions of becoming a sharpening-based company. But as fate would have it, in 1999 we started sharpening (poorly) and fell into the rabbit hole - deeply. Fast forward after several years of trial and a whole lot of error, and Jende Industries was started in 2004 with a single product - the Jende Reed Knife. The name and the knife quickly became associated with sharpness and quality in the world of oboe, bassoon, and clarinet. From there we branched out into different realms of sharpeningdom, including kitchen knives, woodworking, scissors, and straight razors; and despite getting kicked off all the hip forums and discussion lists of the day, started becoming known as a respectable source of sharpening knowledge and equipment.

I would def recommend Jende Industries I would def recommend Jende Industries, I had a good experience ordering from them and there products are actually good. I bought the kangaroo strops and the diamond emulsions, the emulsions are not that cheap crap like chef knives to go has. I also purchased some spyderco stones for my KME . Overall they are top notch with fast shipping and good communication.👍

Hard to catch Hard to catch, when they post to store, these ultra fine Spyderco KME stones fly of the virtual shelves. Otherwise, Jende has the best selection of kme stones and strops and compounds for the DIY sharpeners. Spend loads of money with Jende Industries.

Tom, of Jende Industries, is a sharpening wizard Tom is a sharpening wizard. His knowledge of his products and the art of sharpening is second to none. It’s amazing how he manages to ship from Taiwan and have things arrive stateside quicker than any of his competors I’ve tried who are actually in the states.

I was shopping for a good reed knife… I was shopping for a good reed knife and came accross Jende. Chris Tayler was out of town, in Taiwan actually, but still took the time to discuss the appropriate knife and give me an overview of the company. Chris represented the company with such professionalism that I’ll never go anywhere else and I’ll never forget the level of care I received from him. Also, I’ve had the knife for quite some time now and I absolutely love it. I still haven’t had to sharpen it!
