Poor Quality Sur La Table product I received a gift of a Sur La Table brand enameled cast iron cook pot. Within less than one year there were over 7 chips on the bottom and one on the handle. Previously, I had been using a Le Creuset pot for over 40 years with no such damage. Because I wanted a color Le Creuset did not have, I chose the Sur La Table, thinking the quality would be similar. When I wrote and sent photos to SLT, they declined to replace my pot. I will never purchase another pot from them, as the quality is inferior.

Do not order a product from this company! Do NOT order a product from this company. I ordered a Bonavit coffee maker that "went south" three months after purchase. I contacted La Sur and finally got through to rep who was singularly unhelpful. She told me it was not La Sur's problem, brushed me off, gave me the number for Bonavita and that was it. No help whatsoever. I will NEVER order another product through this company.

Poor Customer Service Sur La Table My boyfriend and I booked an in-person class around 12pm for that evening at 4pm and when we got there were told there “might not be room for us” because our rsvp “just came in” so I was immediately stressed and nervous that I paid so much for a date night that wasn’t even going to happen. We brought our own wine and were told to go put it back in our car they don’t allow it per (Colorado) state law, so we did, just to see another couple in the class was permitted to drink theirs and was doing so during the class. With all this, we were a little thrown off but eased into the class with a welcoming chef and instructions to start cooking. When we were given our steak cuts (the main dinner portion) we had the two SMALLEST pieces of the whole class and felt jipped especially on top of the other unwelcoming treatment. This class did not meet expectations of a romantic date night, nor felt worth the price.

Terrible online order policy! Terrible online order policy! I just went to the Palo Alto, CA retail store to pick up a promo item that was purchased five days ago and was told that online orders are refunded after four days if not picked up. It’s not like there is a SLT store on every corner! Furthermore, when asked if I can just repurchase it since I’m there they would not honor the the price I paid but would happily charge me the full retail. This is the kind of customer service they sends businesses to the grave. Needless to say I’ve unsubscribed and won’t be purchasing anything from SLT again.

Grumpy Nasty management at Boca Raton… For the second time at the Boca Raton store we experienced grumpy and nasty staff. We went in to take our second cooking class. We have enjoyed both of the chefs in these classes. However management at the store leaves a lot to be desired. We have decided we will not return. We had a $10 credit from a class that they canceled a year ago. Our friends called up and got there refund in 3 minutes. It took them 40 minutes to come up with a way to give us our $10. In every way this business is mismanaged.
