Vinotemp Motor Noise Vinotemp layout is difficult, the bottles in the back are hard to retrieve. Biggest complaint is the noise in the motor when the Compressor kicks on. Hard to describe but best description is it sounds like Whales communicating with each other. I did open a ticket, but asked to record the sounds which is quite difficult. Send a Technician or we may have to return our purchase.

So far so good So far so good. + Good construction + Easy to get setup and started + Quiet + Extra insulation allows storage in warmer environments - A number of bottles I own are not the standard bottle shape, so I took a big hit on storage capacity. Some are too long and some are too wide (pinots). - There doesn't seem to be a way to run an external probe into the unit so that I could monitor the temperature. - The temperature up and down buttons do not always respond when pressed. Updated 2019-12-18 to add note about the buttons not responding when pressed.

This product would get 5 stars from me This product would get 5 stars from me, if it wasn't for the insanely loud fan, coming on every 15 minutes or so. The good news is that the wine cooler as a whole is very well built, solid shelves, good seal, dual temp controls keep it within 1 degree of set temp, it looks good, it cools perfectly, it even fits in excess of the 46 bottles advertised, if you have some skinny ice wine bottles included, it's just a great product and even the compressor itself is super quiet. All that for less than a grand, amazing.. Now about that fan, we replaced it with a high end ultra quiet DC fan of same capacity and the unit is perfect now. Only wish it came like that from the factory.

No Service available in Ontario, Canada When we ordered new kitchen cabinets, I had purchased Vinotemp 32 bottle wine cooler. After 5 years wine cooler stopped working. I called Vinotemp and inquired about the repair facility in Toronto, Canada area. The technician gave me 2 names, and unfortunately both companies do not repair Vinotemp wine coolers. I called many Appliance repair companies, and so far could not find any that work with Vinotemp. So if you are in Canada (Ontario), DO NOT BUY VINOTEMP. We are left with useless appliance now, since we cannot find another wine cooler that will fit the space. Very disappointed with the service.

I have been quite disappointed in the… I have been quite disappointed in the amount of noise made by the compressor- sounds like the wind whistling at a sound level that is more than our dishwasher when it is running. This had been a similar problem with a less expensive unit from NewAire that we bought and returned. Looks like the Vinotemp Beverage cooler is the same unit but with better touch screen controls. Will be discussing this with Vinotemp. Hopefully it can be improved.
