Great knife, great gift To begin with, customer service advised me promptly over the Seido Chat function which of their chef's knives would be best for a man with large hands. And the Kiritsuke Damascus Chef Knife fit perfectly -- it has great balance, style, sharpness, quality. It ticked off all the boxes for a great gift. It is now much loved and appreciated. It took longer to arrive than hoped for, so it didn't make it until two days after Christmas. My fault for ordering so late in the season from outside of Canada, and then Canada Post, the delivery service used in Canada, took several days off over the Christmas period. So, yes, the gift arrived late which was too bad, but not a big deal.

Sad Customer Service We purchased a set of knives as a Christmas gift but didn't end up gifting them. I emailed for return instructions and after 4 emails of reminding me there is a 20% restocking fee and I had to pay for the shipping and trying to give me a discount to keep the knives, I finally got a prepaid shipping label with FedEx. The boxes where unopened and in original shipping packaging. Seido kept $113 of my order. This is why ordering from a company direct doesn't work and why Amazon is taking over. Jokes on me!

I have wanted a good set of knives and…Ex I have wanted a good set of knives and I came across these knives. My husband owns a Japanese knife for over 40 years and only sharpened it once. So I decided to give it a try. The best investment I made. I love these knives. I now have a knife set for life. I would recommend these knives to anyone who wants a good set. Also, they are beautiful to look at and also to handle.

The quality of the knives I purchased… The quality of the knives I purchased is absolutely incredible. The handles are designed extremely well and fit the hand very comfortably. The blades are durable and very sharp. Customer service is also very good. They are very expensive, but the quality is such they should last forever.

Did not arrive till 2 days after Christmas. Had already bought a replacement gift. Went to return because when I bought they stated 30 day back hassle free. Now they are charging me 20% restocking fee plus shipping costs. BUYER BEWARE
