It has no chemical odor or fumes, and enough stability for a balance and movement condition that I have. I didn't realize how comfortable and undisturbed sleep could be; thanks to this topper. The latex topper was good quality, but in my opinion, was too jiggly for me. I would order a 2" topper if I decide to try one again.
