Excellent interior rustic alder doors I ordered 23 Rustic Alder interior doors, prehung and finished. The doors and finishing were excellent. They are solidly built, and every door was true and required no adjustment before setting. None had knots going all the way through the door. The price and lead time both handily beat my local lumberyard. If I could change anything, I wish the stops had not been assembled. I had to adjust several and jamb was not finished beneath them, requiring some touchup.

Poor customer service Door was delivered with no visible damage. Contractor installed door with precision. One problem, the vented side light wouldn't open. Made several calls to customer service, was told your problem you fix it. When a door costs $ 6,000, it should work as advertised. Don't spend your hard earned money with this company, because they don't care about the customer, once they have your cash. Jim B.

Affordable and slow. Didn't email the receipt when asked even though they charged the invoice, they had to be reminded. Botched delivery and timeline as well. They stated 5 business days to crate the material which seemed excessive, and then it actually took 2 more additional weeks before they shipped. It took a month total to get an order of in-stock trim lumber.

Unhappy customer Purchased the Sunrise mahogany door in May 2015 for my new construction house. Closed on the home in Dec. 2015 and shortly thereafter noticed that all 16 panes of double pane glass were leaking and causing them to become cloudy on the inside. Have been trying for years to come to a resolution with Nick's, but have been unsuccessful.

Rare Find! My teenage grandson accidentally drove his dad’s car through my garage door, necessitating a search for a replacement. The destroyed door was a fine, raised panel wood door that complemented our detached garage. Finding a wood door, equivalent or better, proved difficult even in the Los Angeles area. Wood garage doors are a tiny segment of the market and many suppliers have a few if any offerings. Thus I was thrilled to find Nick’s Building Supply with an Internet search. Nick’s has an amazing collection of designs, sizes and wood options. As it had been forty years since I had installed my original door, there was a degree of sticker shock associated with today’s prices. But I soon learned that even a standard wood door cost thousands of dollars. After an exhausting search, it became clear that Nick’s doors were an unbeatable value, stylish and of outstanding, almost unheard of construction and craftsmanship. The Western red cedar is beautiful. Cindy A was quick to answer all my questions over the phone or by email and was a joy to work with. My door arrived, very well protected in a wooden “coffin” and survived the cross-country trek without a scratch. I look forward to staining it and restoring the beauty and curb appeal of our garage.
