Excellent interior rustic alder doors I ordered 23 Rustic Alder interior doors, prehung and finished. The doors and finishing were excellent. They are solidly built, and every door was true and required no adjustment before setting. None had knots going all the way through the door. The price and lead time both handily beat my local lumberyard. If I could change anything, I wish the stops had not been assembled. I had to adjust several and jamb was not finished beneath them, requiring some touchup.

Poor customer service Door was delivered with no visible damage. Contractor installed door with precision. One problem, the vented side light wouldn't open. Made several calls to customer service, was told your problem you fix it. When a door costs $ 6,000, it should work as advertised. Don't spend your hard earned money with this company, because they don't care about the customer, once they have your cash. Jim B.

Nick's doors... The Best! Well, I have to say that this company stood by there doors and even remade them after a mistake was made in the placement of the knob holes. They remade the doors and were respectful and polite to me at every step along the way... Liz was most helpful and the costumer service manager was calm, thoughtful and address the problem right away. The doos look fantastic. I highly recommend Nick's doors to anyone having doors made for you new house project or old house project! A+++

Beware Order door from picture on line that showed a product that was finished. They sent the door unfinished. That wasn't so bad but when I went to inquire I received a rather rude message back. Plus I had to pay an additional $75 when the door was delivered for use of a forklift. All of this may have been disclosed in "fine print", but the experience was less than satisfactory.

Bad Experience Do not buy a door from Nick’s Building. They are fickle with contracts. Nick’s built us a very pricey custom door and it arrived damaged. Per the contract, we crated it back up and shipped it back to Nick’s. We were then told that the “boss” said to make us a new door, but one week later they told us the other “boss” unilaterally cancelled our contract and refunded our money. No explanation was given after I requested a conversation with an owner; the owners don’t return calls. We are out hundreds of dollars we paid an installer to remove the old door, uncrate the new door, discover the damage on new door, then reinstall my old door. They don’t care.
