Bought front door Bought front door, sent incorrect door jamb. Nick's attitude was THEY NEVER make mistakes. I had to send photos showing measurements and ship door jamb back 6'' x 8' to possibly receive replacement. I went to a local mill ordered correct jamb and made sure to TELL OTHERS NOT TO ORDER FROM NICK'S. So far I know of 2 that went some where else.

Highly DO NOT recommend this business Highly DO NOT recommend this business. 5K new wood exterior door has water intrusion after the very first rain. The installer confirms the product is defective, improperly waterproofed and sealed. Leaks by the glass panels, leaks by the wood panels. No customer service gesture/solution offered of any kind, claims the insufficient overhang versus the apparent inferior product. No way to contact the management instead being told by customer service they will hang up on me if I were to talk to them anyways. Run arounds for 2 weeks to be able to address this with anyone. Ultimately will be pursing legal action.

Beware Order door from picture on line that showed a product that was finished. They sent the door unfinished. That wasn't so bad but when I went to inquire I received a rather rude message back. Plus I had to pay an additional $75 when the door was delivered for use of a forklift. All of this may have been disclosed in "fine print", but the experience was less than satisfactory.

Bad Experience Do not buy a door from Nick’s Building. They are fickle with contracts. Nick’s built us a very pricey custom door and it arrived damaged. Per the contract, we crated it back up and shipped it back to Nick’s. We were then told that the “boss” said to make us a new door, but one week later they told us the other “boss” unilaterally cancelled our contract and refunded our money. No explanation was given after I requested a conversation with an owner; the owners don’t return calls. We are out hundreds of dollars we paid an installer to remove the old door, uncrate the new door, discover the damage on new door, then reinstall my old door. They don’t care.

Less than reasonable customer service I haven’t received the door yet, so I’ll rate the company on customer service only. I was disappointed that I couldn’t talk about any changes to the door, no matter how small, without listening to the company line, “that’s custom, 4 to 6 extra weeks and double the price”. Should you have to double the price of the door just to lower a hinge or remove some of the decorative iron? Very frustrating. On the other hand, everyone was pleasant and very receptive when I needed the invoice resent.
