About Intellibed

Founded in 2000, Advanced Comfort Technologies, Inc. has become one of the world leaders in sleep wellness. Most mattress companies still manufacture with the same technology developed in the 1960s — these materials can off-gas and even be harmful to the body. Through extensive research, doctor and patient interviews, and extensive third-party testing, intelliBED designed and manufactured the first ever gel-based, medical-grade sleep surface.

I own an intellibed for five years I own an intellibed for five years. Year one the bed has dips in it and I had Mattress Firm come out and look at it. They said the dip wasn't deep enough. Several years later the dip became greater and greater until my $7,000 bed is so uncomfortable and causes back pain. So I made another claim. This time the dip met the requirements of a return. The report was sent in and Mattress Firm said in the picture by the head they noticed a stain which is about 1.5 inches in diameter and that it voided my warranty. It is nowhere near my hips where the bed is hammocking and nothing more than an excuse not to honor a valid claim. This expensive bed with a 20 year warranty is a piece of Garbage. I will never buy an Intellibed again or shop at Mattress Firm. Be ware foretold is forewarned Burned in Florida

more lumps than the 11 year old mattress we upgraded from. We bought this bed in October of 2019, we have followed all of the instructions from the moment we bought it, turning it regularly, rolling back and forth on it, it just doesn't matter, we have lumps in the bed, my spouse cant's sleep on her side at all because of the the stinging pain that goes through her shoulders and has low back pain every time she wakes up. My situation isn't much different, my hips and shoulder aches if I lay on my my side, my back hurts if I lay on my back and I can't sleep if I lay on my stomach. For a $6000 bed and pretty much lifetime warrantee you would think it would hold up, NOPE. If you try and get anyone to replace it, you are out of luck you get shuffled between the place you purchased the bed and intellibed, neither willing to actually admit there is aything wromg with the darn thing. I had thought maybe it's just me, but no, the problems we are having are the same as everyone else. I wish I had my old Sterns and Foster back, I could use a good night's sleep.

Defective Mattress, Defective Warranty After two years, the mattress is slumping on one side and bulging at the side. "20 Year Warranty" is worthless since you have to ship it both ways (upwards of $1200-$1500) and they'll deny your claim if there's any stains or marks on the mattress even if they have nothing to do with the damage. Basically you get to pay half the price of the mattress in shipping just to get denied.

I love my Intellibed mattress but... I love my Intellibed mattress and pillows, they earn 5 stars. But I was recently told they're not making the pillows now. So I went to their website to try to snag one, and since they were sold out I chose a different option. Turns out the same pillow is on Amazon for $60 less and free shipping. But the sales rep for Intellibed said he couldn't even offer me free shipping, even as a return customer who has purchased 2 mattresses and many pillows. Next time I'll skip Intellibed and go straight to Amazon for these items.

Disappointed- Mattress failed after 3 years UPDATE: MattressFirm honored the 20-year Intellibed warranty, thank goodness. Intellibed is no longer carried by MattressFirm (it was bought-out by Purple which is carried by MattressFirm and has very similar technology to Intellibed). Regardless, we chose not to go with Purple, despite the excellent customer reviews — we didn’t want to take a chance of the same gel-matrix technology failing again. So we went with a Tempurpedic mattress, which we’ve owned in the past. “Kudos!” to MattressFirm for making the warranty claim process fair and simple for us. ———— My wife and I bought an Intellibed Nightfall 16” mattress at MattressFirm 4 years ago for $7,000. All was OK for the first 3 years or so until I developed terrible pain and stiffness in my back, shoulders, hips, and legs. It didn’t even dawn on me until this week to closely inspect the mattress to see if that is the cause. Indeed, it is: There is a 1.5” depression on the side of the mattress where I sleep. The last two nights I slept in a different bed and my pain has disappeared. I submitted a warranty claim through MattressFirm yesterday and hope this can be resolved quickly and to my satisfaction. Unfortunately, it appears from other posts here that this is a recurring problem with this mattress and problems not always resolved in the customer’s favor.
