Hire machine heavy, hard to manoeuvre and unsuited to domestic uses Carpets cleaned ok but poor suction on the main machine meant I needed to use the hand tool to vacuum up moisture over the whole carpet. The main machine is also very heavy, unwieldy and impossible to manoeuvre in small rooms. The professional hire machine is poorly suited to domestic situations.

Rubbish machine We wanted to refresh carpets in our house. Totally rubbish machine. Unable to purchase 4l of formula, as not available in 3 different locations. Waste of the money and most importantly time! How this company can survive with these poor reviews is beyond me.

Very Good I hired the machine online and collected it in store. Instructions were easy to follow and I purchased the cleaning solutions too. I hired for two days but got called into work so I wanted to extend it, I emailed in and a few hours later I had a call from RugDoctor (Gareth called from memory, apologies if I’ve got this wrong) a quick conversation and he extended my rental. Quickly, effectively and simply. The machine also did a great job on my carpets. What more could you want!

Very happy! Well, that was a really pleasant experience, booking a standard Rug Doctor machine on line, collecting it from a local Tesco store and then using the machine to clean carpets in the living room and hallway, having just decorated. The booking process was very simple, the collection was straightforward and using the machine itself was easy too, and really effective! Less than half price of getting a local company in to do the same thing, so we’re very happy. Highly recommended.

Horrendous smell after using Rug Doctor We hired a Rug Doctor for the weekend, to clean all the carpets in our house. It was the worse experience. Using the cleaner itself it pretty straight forward and we followed the instructions to letter. However, the next day and over the coming days the smell from the carpets was awful. It smelt like dirty drains. My whole house stinks. I have had to borrow a Vax machine and go over all the carpets, in all the rooms, time and time again to try to remove the smell. It is slowly clearing, but it has been a whole week now and we are cleaning the carpets again daily. I spoke with a friend of mine and she said she had exactly the same problem, the smell of the carpets afterwards is horrendous. I would steer well clear and I definitely won't be using them again
