Costly But Effective Our Indows have significantly reduced the noise levels in our bedroom. At night, background noise is essentially zero despite living next to active train tracks. The process of measuring our windows was easy with the kit provided and installation was also very simple. The inserts did require us to remove our blinds and get window treatments which we had hoped to avoid. Also, they were pricey, but we got what we paid for and are happy with the improvement of our sleep.

They work! They actually do work surprisingly well! Don't expect 100% noise reduction, or you will be disappointed. But there has been a significant drop in the road noise in the rooms where I bought the windows, such that it does not bother me anymore and I tune it out. The installation and measuring process were a lot harder than advertised, recommend getting a handyman to help.

Last winter (without my inserts), during the coldest of days I had my wall heater unit set near 80 degrees F, the windows were covered with ice, and I was still cold inside my room while wearing a heat and heavy wool sweaters. Last night's temperature reached -9 degrees F, and strong wind gusts chilled conditions further. I had my heater unit set to 69 degrees F, the windows had minimal to no frost formation, and I was comfortable walking around my room without a hat and only a light sweatshirt. Wonderful! Easy to place, great customer service and minimal/no impact on the architectural integrity of my 1824 home (approved by my state's historic society for use). Hands down best purchase of the year. My husband and I purchased Indowwindows… My husband and I purchased Indowwindows two years ago and purchased additional windows this year. We live in Massachusetts and own an old 1700's house. From the beginning Reed and the staff assisted us with advice on measuring the windows to assure the fit properly. They all fit perfectly! The windows have helped so much in the cold winters and look beautiful, they're perfectly clear and very easy to insert and take out if needed. We put 13 of these inserts into our 100… We put 13 of these inserts in our 100 year old farm house last spring and after almost a year, we can say we are extremely pleased with the results. They were a great alternative to new windows which would have been cost prohibited. The drafts normally felt on cold windy days are gone. Our home is more comfortable and the amount of LP gas used for heating has been greatly reduced. Visitors don't even notice the inserts unless we point them out. For us, the inserts were worth the investment.
