I am a independent security installing… I am a independent security installing dealer and I have used Alarm.com since 2006. I believe the majority of the complaints people have posted here is NOT with the Alarm.com service but with the security service provider/ installer. The service when installed correctly by a professional will work. I have noticed a few problems with the earlier doorbell cameras and wifi range issues. But overall they provide a service and it works great when installed properly.

Best Connected Home Technology Available After being a frustrated ADT customer for years, I switched to Alarm.com's technology solution about two years ago and couldn't be happier. I now use (and get value) from my system throughout the entire day - having lights come on before I come downstairs, getting alerts to my phone when our nanny takes our kids to the park and even alerts at night when I forget to close the garage door. The system always let's me know what's going on at my house and makes traveling a lot easier because I know my family is safe inside and protected by a professionally monitored service. The mobile app is awesome and really easy to use. I totally recommend this for anyone who is looking for smart home technology.

Joined Dec 4th 2017 Joined Dec 4th 2017, due to faulty cheap cameras they sell and have installed my video clip quota of a 1000 was reached in less than 2 days, unable to adjust and fix. Have to wait another week or two for two more new camera replacements, now they have shut my security system down till Jan 4th and its their faulty equipment that caused the issue. Definitely not recommended to sign with them, am looking for other options now. Their ad for their product is a lie and a scam, they steal your money and run.

Ok...I have tried to like everything… Ok...I have tried to like everything about Alarm.com. Their equipment is horrible. Everything seems to fail. Things disconnect. After arming we get errors....zones bypassed, smokes that don't work, auxiliary panel disconnected. I have written to them for support and they do not answer. We were promised access control for our office system, and it appears that Alarm.com refuses to send the equipment to our local security company. This has been ongoing for 6 months. We just give up.

I am disgusted with this app I am disgusted with this app, The alarm company I subscribe to claims it's a great app, easy to use, reliable, in other words, the greatest thing since peanut butter. I disagree, I have a house and an extra building in the backyard, both wired for alarm monitoring. I say "wired" but actually the alarm company recently "upgraded" the system to all wireless sensors. In any event the resulting system now depends on alarm.com for arming/disarming, etc. The screen layout is great, but trouble is the system itself lags and frequently errors out, leaving you to start over. Annoying.
