GBDilapidated machines, ghastly customer service This company rents out dilapidated pieces of trash. Their customer service is just as poor. The first machine had very poor suction and left the carpet very wet, even though the instructions were followed. Dampness should be expected but the carpet was wet and took days to dry with fans running. The carpet did not seem clean either. I decided to try vacuuming the carpet throughly again and then I rented another machine thinking it was due to malfunction. I got the second machine home and the brush would not turn on, and the light illuminated saying it was jammed. There was nothing stuck and it was easy to turn by hand. I contacted customer service and they stated based on the information the machine was broken and I would have to return to the store to exchange it. When I got to the store I called the kiosk number as instructed. They said I could return the machine for a full refund or exchange it for a new machine. Because this had taken over two hours of my time and an extra trip across town, I asked for a partial refund and to exchange the machine. Rug Doctor declined and refused to give back any money if I exchanged the machine. I simply returned the machine and they refunded me the rental cost, but not my wasted evening. It is understandable that machines malfunction, but I cannot do business with a company that is not interested in making it right. I will rent a Bissell instead. Rug Doctor uses contactless kiosks and their dilapidated machines are not checked or maintained between uses. This is in contrast with Bissell, where you talk to an actual person when renting the cleaner.

GBWalmart rental wasn't worth the price. The machine I rented was very dirty when I brought it home. I had to clean and untangle the previous users crud and tangled strings prior to use. This cost me valuable rental time. Also Walmart closes at 10:00PM on Sunday's, this also shortened my cleaning opportunity. When cleaned the machine worked as advertised, I was able to complete most of my job. Any future rental would be from a 24Hour store such as Jewel because I can return the item closer to my time allowance. Thank you.

GBWorked very well The vacuum cleaned very well and when I cleaned out the dirty water tank there was a bunch of trash that I didn’t realize was on the floor! I really wish there was a different way of cleaning the tank out because tilting it to empty it out was hard because some of the water didn’t want to come out. Overall great experience!

GBCleaned surprisingly well I've used a commercial cleaner company in the past for cleaning our 5th wheel rv that we live in fulltime. But this time the cleaner raised their minimum for cleaning rvs to $200, & I only wanted to have 100 sq ft done. So, I rented a Rug Doctor at Walmart. The check out process is pretty straight forward, but the machine is heavy & bulky. I also rented the motorized upholstery tool & bought cleaner solution, & pre-treat solution.. I pre-treated the areas in front of our chairs where our feet leave stains & used the upholstery tool to clean the bad spots. This tool might be pretty useless for most people, as the solution jet nozzle plugs up easily. I removed the nozzle & blew it & the line out with an air compressor, which many people wouldn't have. It clogged several times & I could even see black pieces in the solution feed line. But overall, I was able to remove the dark stains & clean the larger areas in a couple of hours. It actually did a better job than I thought it would. It cleaned just as well as the commercial cleaners I've had do it in the past, & dried just as quickly. The machine & cleaner solutions were $75 vs the $200 for a commercial cleaner. So it was worth it & I will use it again in the future.
