People are friendly, the tech sucks. Not a big fan of their service. I signed a 2 year contract with the expectation of package with cameras around the property. Upon install, zero cameras we’re able to be installed, the doorbell camera is worthless despite no less than 6 service calls, the garage door has gone haywire and needed 4 different service calls. The indoor motion detection said it won’t see small dogs. Lie. My Boston terrier set it off in the first hour. Now I have glass break. I pay $50 a month so I can occasionally open/close the garage door with my phone. That’s it.

Kinda unsure...... I activated my alarm by mistake and the person on the other stated cops would be called, thankfully I had not registered my system with FWPD so they didn’t send them out. Come to find out, programmer had put in WRONG password!!! Had police been dispatched, I would have been fined!

Video door bell/billing headaches Home security is one of those things I thankfully don’t have to worry too much about, but am glad that I have it. Only two complaints though... my doorbell camera has never worked properly. Had the same challenge in my previous home as well. It drives me CRAZY every time someone rings out doorbell. When it does record properly, there is such a long delay that it defeats the purpose of having it in the first place. When people leave things on my porch the thing rarely even detects motion but does pick up whenever a car drives by or the angle of the sun changes. It’s maddening. On top of that I keep getting calls every month that my payment didn’t process correctly even though they acknowledge the error is on their side. So annoying.

Be sure to document services you agree too. Great technician came out (Corey), great service ( have been with them for 3-5 years now) but when it came to moving house and transferring service the sales person I spoke with gave misleading information. Not impressed with how they tried to rectify my situation. Be sure you document what they say so you don’t end up with cost surprises.

Very Professional & Courteous Juan was the installer that came to my home. He was fantastic. There were a few issues beyond his control that he was patient and understanding about. Very professional. Very courteous. I wish every installer and worker that came to my home were as awesome as Juan. DFW Security gets great reviews, hopefully they stand up. So far so good though.
