GBScam artists! I do not normally write reviews, however it seemed necessary in this instance. If I could give this company 0 stars I would. For starters, this is NOT a moving company, they are a BROKER for third party moving companies (which was never disclosed while speaking with the agent). We were told they are a veteran owned and operated moving company. They even went as far as to tell us "we have a port in your city as well as the city you are moving to". Everything seemed like it was adding up, they beat any rate we were quoted by hundreds of dollars, assured us they would be handling everything, they do that route all the time and would probably even do it in fewer days than initially quoted, etc etc. Red flag number one: they RUSH you to sign the contract, within 20 minutes of being on the phone to get a quote I was being told if I didn't sign and pay right then and there I would lose out on the rate. Mind you, they are texting me info, knowing I'm on my cell and trying to do all this at once. So in a panic thinking I am going to miss out on a great deal I sign and send payment. Only after I send that I get the contact which has our moving date the FOLLOWING day (remember that, it's important later) that was red flag number two. Red flag number three: the inventory I gave them they vastly under quoted the size of (I told them I had about 20, 27 gallon tubs they took it upon themselves to put the dimensions as 16x16x16, when they are closer to 15x20x30 and i never gave them dimensions) so I would be charged more once everything was packed. Red Flag number four: when reading the contract more thoroughly I finally saw they are a "broker" not the moving company that supposedly does the route "all the time". After all these red flags started popping up I immediately contacted them to cancel (within hours). They got back to me the following Monday, initially starting by telling me I could not cancel or get any kind of refund because it was within 2 weeks of my moving date.. I told them from the start I was moving at least 7 weeks later and they fumbled and said that I was moving the next day. Now after speaking with at least 4 different people they are willing to give me a refund of 85% and keep their 15% broker fee.. even though their contract states I have 72 hours to cancel. This company is an absolute nightmare, they smooth talk and bend the truth to make it seem like they are helping you when in reality they are a bunch of con artists taking advantage of people in a stressful time. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!

GBThe team from "United American Moving… The team from "United American Moving and Storage" did an awesome job setting up our new house. They worked together really well, took great care of our stuff, and even put padding on the floor to protect the shiny new marble. They also made sure to pad the stair railings and the brand-new front door so nothing got scratched. We were super impressed with how they thought about protecting everything in our new home. From our first interaction with our coordinator, James, he was very articulate, he covered all possible scenarios of any additional charges and explained the process very well. Thanks again for making this transition as stress free as possible.

GBI've used United American Moving and… I've used United American Moving and Storage, 2 times in the last 4 years, and their customer service is solid. We've had the same service rep each time, which is nice. What stands out is the care they take in protecting both your old and new places, something different from other movers. The quotes are accurate, though on the higher side, but you get what you pay for. The crews have always been skilled and professional, with good teamwork. I've never seen any issues between different crews, and they all seem well-trained. Everything has arrived on time and in good shape, with only a minor scratch or two in 4 years. If United American Moving and Storage, could maintain the quality while lowering the price, it would be even better.
